My colleague and I went for lunch today. Admittedly, we were in the minority, being women, but this perhaps worked in our favour! The service was warm and hospitable and the food sublime. We weren't on expenses, so there was a slight 'ouch' when we got the bill, but there is no disputing whether it was worth it because it most certainly was.
I'll be letting my boss know about this place; it's as good as any I have dined in in the square mile.

Over priced. Food undercooked. Over rated. Will not send bosses there again.

I never take time to write a rewiew for a restaurant because i think each one of us has different taste, what's good for me could be a nightmare for someone else. I must say that this restaurant deserves not only a rewiew, but a great one. The maltagliati pasta was fabulous, my lamb was perfect and even if I don't usually take dessert i went for a classic tarte tatin... mouth watering. All of this accompanied by the wine suggested by Mr Dino, the manager and very knowleageable sommelier. What can I say I couldn't find a fault.Irelly wish this restaurant the best, and anytime I will be in the area i will be there! Well done to Dino, and all of the staff.

Upon entering the restaurant the service was good, however, the service following did not live up to expectations. On the whole the food was of a high standard, however we were a party of 8 and the food came in bit pieces.. i.e. 10 minutes between 1st and last main dish served. Value for money is ok, as you expect to pay this price in the city, however, there are better italians closer for half the price.

We have just returned from a business lunch at this restaurant. The food was extremely dissapointing. In fact, I left the restaurant still hungry. The rissotto was small enough to feed a baby never mind the fact that the taste was aweful. The tiramisu was bright yellow!!! We left here feeling utterly dissapointed and will never be returning to a place that charges such high rates for such poor quality of food!

It was a Tuesday night and surprisingly busy, my friend and I still recieved acceptional service. We were really taken care of and the food was delicious. Caravaggio had a lovely setting and the atmosphere was calming even though it was busy. Being a Graphic Designer I am very particular about presentation and layout and when the plate arrived at the table it looked like alot of care had gone into it. Even though the price was a little more than I would usually pay I would still go back as I felt it was value for money for the level of service. Lovely!!!

When I came across an article in the September 2005 issue of "Eat Out" magazine about celebrity waiters, it made me aware of just how difficult it is for restaurans nowadays to recruit skilled and professional waiting stuff.
Today's customer is sophisticated and well-travelled and all credit should go to the management of my favourite restaurant "Caravaggio" for choosing front-of-house staff who provide charming and attentive service without in any way being obsequious or intrusive.I have found this to be a challenging brief that most city restaurants do not quite manage to fulfil. Caravaggio's well-trained staff however do make the grade, in my opinion.
Well done!

Good food, friendly and pleasant ambiance, (sometimes overly!) efficient staff - perfect venue to entertain those special clients. Looking forward to my next visit

I recently lunched at Caravaggio with a friend who is extremely particular about his food, service at restaurants and value for money. We were not disappointed! Although we dropped in during an unbelievably busy time and had not booked, we did not spend long at the bar before being shown to our table. The preparation and presentation of each course was impressive; as was the perfectly recommended wine. I had to agree with my difficult to please friend, that the service made us feel like royalty.
