This was one of the most awful dining experiences in my life. The customer service that we received from members of staff was very poor and in particular the manager/owner who served us, was one of the rudest people I have ever come across.

We gave our names on arrival to a girl who was paying no attention to us, so much so that I had to repeat my name 4 times to get us onto the list to wait for a table. When we were finally seated we were given a menu and promptly chose what we wanted. The manager came over to take our order, which was when we were then told we weren't allowed to order from the main menu, despite the fact that the two tables next to us had just ordered from the main menu. We were told there would be a long wait if we ordered from the main menu. There was no apology offered that we weren't told previously and we suggested that she tells her staff not to give out the main menu. We then chose from the set menu. Whilst waiting for our food the two tables next to us received their food - so much for the long wait if you order from the main menu!! When I pointed this out to the manager, she not only ignored me but walked away!!! This was so disrespectful and rude I was astounded! When the food finally arrived, it was tasty but only warm suggesting it had been sat waiting in the kitchen for a while. I expect food to be hot but considering the table next to us had asked for their food to be heated up and they had received the same disrespect from the manager we opted against it as we wanted to be at the show for the right time. We also order a beer and a tap water and had to ask for them 4 times before they eventually appeared. I appreciate that it was a busy evening but that is no excuse to be rude and disrespectful to customers.

I refused to pay the ridiculous 12.5% service charged that was placed on our bill, however, I feel that they were lucky we paid at all!

I hope that the manager/owner (who by the way also looked so scruffy in jeans and a pink shirt) can learn some respect and start to treat her customers properly.

I will never be going back!

I had my graduation lunch at thai silk 02..this Thursday and I have to say, the service myself and my ten guests experienced was appalling!!

We entered and waited around for 5minutes before being taken to a table, once the table for ten was ready no waiter/waitress approached us for 20minutes, we had to call some one to come to us. Excellent service consists of the table waiter/waitress addressing themselves to the guests and asking for drinks or orders, which did not happen. The entire evening each of us had to flag members of staff down for attention for service!! When we were finally served, not even ONE smile! Common courtesy when serving drinks is to set out the glasses to each guest and then pour the drinks, not set them all on one side of the table and then expect the guests to pass it around! When two of my guests were late, one lady working there asked whether she can take the seats away...when we said no, she just walked away. When we asked for extra bottles of water, she walked away and just came back with it. A simple smile would have sufficed! During the entire lunch, not one waiter/waitress approached any of us, to ensure we have everything, as mentioned earlier, we had to keep calling staff and they would either walk past, or just come back 5mins later. Even later on during the evening when customers were low, the service was disgusting! The drinks got served to the wrong guests!

Absolutely horrible service,

Me and my Partner went to the Thai Silk on the 18th May.The food was ok and the service was fast but it was early and not many people in there at the time. It was quite expensive for what it was and they hit you with a rip off 12.5% service charge too.

I wouldn't go again as I have had much better food in many other restaurants.

I've been to Thai Silk many times including concerts nights as we lived locally and I don't understand that why people are so mean about the experinces that they got in there! From the food department, we always been served by smiley waitress or waiter altough they should get more english speaking one there but never a problem cause we normally go for what we always order anyway. The food there were always good especially duck curry and the jungle curry pork, very similar to Thailand as we used to lived in there for over a year so we know what we're talking about. We always go for a starter to share and main course for each of us (only 2 of us), its normally worked out just under £40 including wine. I won't say it's cheap but not bad consider it's in O2. Most of the restaurant there are more expensive, again it's the venue (we have have tried most of them). If you want the cheaper option then you should go to the franchise restaurant which is available in O2 as well, but as you know franchises are franchises.

Some concerts nights, I'll have to say that the service were relatively slow compare to the normal nights but bear it in mind that it will the same in all the whole O2 cause they are fitting over 15,000 in a few hours! So, if you go there for a proper meal then concert night is definately a no. But if you go for the concert then I will still recommend Thai Silk but ask for upstairs table if you want to have a meal if not just go to downstairs so that you can order some finger food like starter and the bar just next to you. I saw some comments about the staff that said 'at the bar', well if you want someone to serve then you wait for the staff but I don't aspect much cos like all the bars, pubs and clubs, you will automatically go to the bar yourself. That's why always recommended upstairs tables unless I'm watching football, much better downstairs (my wife never like downstairs tables).

So here, I think whoever that go to O2 should try Thai Silk first especially they have club nights from Fri and Sat. Sometimes, they have discount for customers that dine in there too. Do ask when you're there. Cos it will be a great night out to do everything in just one venue!

Thai Silk see you soon!

I visited Thai Silk at the O2 last week-end. The food was great and we didnt have to wait long for it at all. We all agreed that we would visit this restaurant again as the service was courteous and speedy, and the manager couldnt do enough for us. He even gave us advice about local places to visit.

I definately recommend Thai Silk to anyone visiting the O2.
