The Pad of Covent Garden

I and 3 friends in covent garden last night (fri) met up for a drink after work, decided to try the pad, arrived at 6pm and didnt leave till 11pm. Food was great and the place was fantastic thats why we ended up staying most of the evening even though we was planning to eat and leave. The mojito's were the best ive had.

I went to this restaurant a couple of days ago.. i have to say the moussaka was amazing it was perfectly cooked just how it is meant to be. The atmosphere was very warm and the staff were very friendly and also welcoming. The night i went to eat with my friends, there was a young boy who i believe was playing the bouzouki which added to the greek atmosphere. the menu wasnt only greek but continental, e.g pizzas and steaks which i thought was very good. oveall i highly recommend this restaurant and i am therefore planning to go there quite often and may even go there for my birthday.

I was passing by this lovely looking restaurant and even though i was not planning to eat greek i thought id give it a try and thank god i did.

The food is very tasty, service fantastic, price very reasonable. It really makes a change when nobody hurries you to get out and go. I will def visit again.

My boyfriend and I went to The Pad a couple of weeks ago. We hadn't made a booking and it was really easy to get a table.

We both thought the service was great but the food was really bad. Not sure what other people have had here but my suggestion is to keep away from the Greek part of the menu (there was also an Italian and American section) as it was the worst food we've ever eaten in a restaurant.

i ate at this restaurant with friends last week. the atmosphere was very cold and several of the staff were unable to communicate in English. The tables were packed together and it ws impossible to stand up and get out to the rest room without making two tables stand up and make way.

pad is advertised as a greek restaurant but yet half the menu offers steak, pizza and pasta. the moussaka was very bland and the entree dips were very poor quality.

I ate here with a few friends and felt compelled to write this review. Being a restaurant in busy Covent Garden tourist area i was appalled by just about everything in this restaurant.

Firstly the tables are so squished together that the waiting staff can't access the ends of the table. the menus are ridiculously large both in size and lists of food. Advertised as a Greek restaurant with a few Greek dishes on the menu but loads of pizza, pasta, steak and whatever else they can fit on there.

We chose Greek food as is advertised. Hummus and fish roe dip was awful - pink processed goo on a plate with a pita bread sliced for £3.50. Moussaka had a spongy (cheese?) topping and looked and tasted like it had emerged from a microwave 5 minutes earlier after being cooked to a blackened pulp in an oven earlier in the day. nobody at my table was happy with their food.

Atmosphere is cold and service was overseen by an angry looking man and several staff who were very clumsy, unhelpful and had poor or no English.

we left hungry..and depressed

Just been to The Pad with some friends, found the place very welcoming,nicely done out.

Had a very nice steak and alovely bottle of wine, highly recommended.

I was there last night.

And it's not English - it's Greek. Accutally something between Green, Italian and English.

Very nice and friendly people works there. I didn’t like that too much, but two my friends - really enjoyed and promised to come back there.

I had vegetarian pizza (£8.50) which was margarita base, on the top: 1 slice of aubergine, 6 x slices of courgettes. Somehow I looked poor.

My friend had one of meet pizzas - very nice and a lot of toppings.

I didn’t like the blue light here, but that is only my personal understanding of colours. WC rooms - very VERY nice designed (plain and simple) and clean.
