just walked in on fri night, great looking restaurant. A total of 4 friends fancied greek, glad we chose this restaurant coz it the best greek food i have ever tried and believe me i know coz im half greek and also eat greek out every week. I was disappointed that there did not do meze which is the traditional greek thing of loads of different little dishes but my friend suggested we just choose loads of starters and a few main meals. Let me tell you this is what i will be eating fron now on instead of the normal meze, coz with what we had is what we all wanted to eat and nothing went to waste, and the food here in the heart of the tourist area was unbelievable, it was the best greek food ever. i was told the chef is the bosses mother in law and that explained it all. def going back again next week.

The Pad has a really nice feel about it. Went last Thursday. We ordered starters and mains and thought the food was really good. Good wine list too, we went for the Panul which was excellent. We would recommend this restaurant as we really enjoyed our evening.

Went to the Pad on Saturday night after theatre. First impression was, nice restaurant, stylish interior, greek music- great! The starter was served quickly and was very tasty. The first problem was a jug of water we asked for - how difficult could that be? I had to ask FOUR TIMES, every time, "Sure" then nothing happened. The main course took the chef over 40 minutes and was not even fresh!! The texture and the taste of the meat gave it away, it was obviously sitting there for a while and got reheated when we ordered. The surface of the pork was dark and dry instead of a nice, juicy, freshly cooked meat. Also, the staff was arguing all night, sometimes in English other times in other languages, which was also very unprofessional.

Over all, it was a very disappointing experience and i would not recommend this place to my friends.

We had an excellent lunch at PAD and decided to go for an evening meal the following night which was again excellent. The stifado was the best I've had outside Greece, kleftiko was good as were the kebabs (chicken and lamb).

We also enjoyed the bruschetta (OK it's not Greek but still very tasty).

We were only in London for two days and we usually like to try different restaurants whilst visiting but we thought this place was good enough to go to twice. Service was good and the staff were very friendly. There was a service charge but I guess this is normal for most restaurants in London nowadays.

We had, had this day out planned for so long, with the show and two brilliant meals here i can say it was well worth the wait. We had a light lunch which was very good value for money and enjoyed it so much that we went back for a evening meal. It really did feel like we were back in Greece, with traditional greek music playing in the backward, the food was authentic and the service very good. I would highly recommend The Pad to anyone that has a love of proper greek food.

Nice Greek food. Had the Kleftico which was superb. All in all, a really nice place. Went on Friday with hubby and some friends. Thought the layout was really cool. We had a variety of dishes which were all good. The house red was one of the best house wines we've had. Strange name the pad for a Greek restaurant but have to say really glad we went there. Was only passing and intended on eating Italian. Will definately go there again.

Really nice looking place. Went there on Saturday with a few friends, had some light snacks and some cocktails. Food was great and the cocktails were fine. Really enjoyed our evening. Look forward to going there again. Would recommend to anyone. Owners seemed like nice guys and were very helpful. Nice to find real owners on the premises and not just 20 year old students as you usually do when in town.

Had lunch with a few friends, seemed rather nice from the outside, and decor too.... but thats as far as the nice of it goes...

The food - summed up in one word: dreadful. A kid could cook better than that.

We waited around 45-50 minutes for our food, and eventually when it did, it was dry and burnt . Since we were tight for time, I did not send my plate back.

The waiter couldn't really understand what I was saying to him when I tried to explain about my food being burnt. The manger eventually reluctantly (once asked) gave me a discount of 5 pounds.

Never have I been so disappointed in restaurant food, especially in such an upbeat area such as covent garden.

Not going back!

Just had our lunch hour there, we asked how long the kebabs would take, being told "half an hour" we opted for (what we were told were the quicker options) pizza and burgers.

After over half an hour, these arrived. The burger buns were pretty consistently burnt, one was nearly charcoal. The patties were cheap supermarket fare, and...well they had no redeeming features. Our pizza eater had nothing positive to say either.

So while it has nice looking furniture and a well stocked bar, the food was the most disappointing we have ever experienced.
