I went there with my wife and father... the larger pieces of cod (in batter) were quite watery with very little taste. Restaurant thought it may have not been cooked for long enough when enquired (no apology offered to acknowledge disatisfaction). Being a local, I had heard good things about George's since reopening. £12.00 for fish & chips was very overpriced for outside central London and for the location & service (small eating area / rather cramped & non-linen napkins). Waitress just invaded your personal space to whip away the plates / glasses. No charge for the olives, carrot battons, peppers served as an appetizer which was refreshing.
Disappointing and would not go back (sorry).

My husband and I tried this restaurant last night on the spur of the moment and were very pleasantly surprised.
The food was delicious, good value and well presented. The staff were very attentive and service was excellent.
I have recommended it to a couple of my colleagues who live in the area and I would most definitely go there again.
