poor quality thai- extremely overpriced. I went there as our visit to the sister restaurant in Marlow had been a pleasant exp, but was disappointed.

The Thai Rack further down george street offers consistently exceptional thai food at much more reasonable price and has ambiance

Please do not go to this place, the food is an insult to Thai Cuisine, arranged very nicely on plates but tasting horrid!! Everything we had was awful, the duck was dry and not only dry but cold, the curry tasted most unlike Thai curry, not sure what it tasted of!! Service was good and staff polite, but going here is a waste of time and money, also , it's not cheap. avoid at all costs!!

Food was ok not the best Thai food I have had. The service was very slow and it took ages to get the waitress to attend to us. The food was expensive and so were the drinks. They even had the cheek to add a 10% service charge to the bill, would not have minded but I tip for good service not bad service, will not be eating here again

One word....dreadful! I have never been to a restaurant where the taste and the smell of the food has made me heave! I agree with others in saying that the decor is the most positive thing about this place. The staff were pleasant but it took over 2 hours for us to eat here as the service was incredibly slow. If you want to experience great Thai food, do not eat at a chain Thai restaurant, they seriously compromise their standards and have the audacity charge a fortune!

Truly awful! Waited over 30 mins to get a menu, then the starters had to be sent back three times as: 1) arrived cold, 2) returned obviously having been microwaved, 3) dripping in oil

The main course eventually arrived.... again cold! Ended up paying for our drinks and leaving as we couldn't stomach the food... drinks were a rip off as well!

I did see a car driving around St Albans advertising it as some winning restaurant - then I noticed the date was 4 yrs ago!

Avoid unless you want oily cold food with poor service!

Atmosphere was great, service was good and foods were awesome. It is not often to see a talented team and strong creative spirit as Thai Square St.Albans. I've felt it was very fair prices for the quality of food and the best service.

Highly recommended

This restaurant is truly awful

I am bemused as to why people bother to go.

I assume like myself they are acting out of ignorance.

You really can cook better yourself at home or even by purchasing at a supermarket

do not ignore the warnings

I attended a birthday party dinner at Thai square this month. I have to say what an overprices over rated expereince. The waiting service to the table was appauling, the women ( bless them) could barely speak english making communication rather difficult.

Secondly the starters which i ordered as a shared experience with another was all fried and very oily. ( vegetarian mixed starter) not to be recommeneded

Thirldy i ordered chefs special dish of King Prawns ( £13 dish) it arrived cold, i sent it back it was then re-sent to the table hot ( microwaved no doubt!) and then i tasted it, well it was dry, tasteless and very dissappointing.

Having been and travelled to thailand i can safely safe food there is 1st class. Fresh, aromatic, beautiful.

Thai Square are impersonnating thai food and failing miserably.

However on a positive note the decor, interior surroundings, plates and cutlery were very stylish.

Finally the price for an this out of london restaurant expereince was very steep i had oily starters a pineapple juice the prawn dish and a phad thai for £40. Not to be negative but i could cook a better thai meal at home!
