Poor Annie at The Dispensary - I gave her only 24 hours notice for a large group booking (c. 20 people) for work. She speedily came back with a very reasonably priced mouth wateringly good menu which was within my budget. Having not been to the Dispensary before I have to admit I was a little anxious at taking a large work group there but I felt reassured by Annie's efficiency so took the plunge. On the evening the food was even better than described. The delicious rib of beef was the most popular dish among our group of foodies - it was expertly cooked by David, so much so you could have cut it with a spoon. The potato rosti and wild mushroom accompaniment was also amazingly delicious and complimented the beef really well. The other selections also got the thumbs up by my fellow diners, and together with the nice choice of desserts we left feeling very well fed and rather well lubricated too! We ate in the Dispensary private room which was a great room for private bookings and we were well looked after through out the evening. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone, it's very reasonably priced, we were looked after excellently and the food is simply delicious. Big thumbs up all round!!
