Worst restaurant I have ever been to!
Myself and my partner went to the restaurant last night with a Groupon voucher and like other reviews we were made to feel cheap! Maybe they should consider that if Groupon customers are treated well and enjoy the meal they will return.
The place was dirty and had no atmosphere. The food was terrible and would not eat their again if it was free!
For steak go to Big Easy a few doors down- Cheaper, Cleaner, friendly and the steak and Lobster is to die for!

We ate at Kings Road Steakhouse and Grill on Saturday night and never have I ever been treated so badly after presenting the Host! Even though there were several tables free we were told to wait by the bar as he started to greet the couple behind us. Eventually after we were finally seated we had to request our drinks that we had already ordered at the bar twice, and then 2 of each drink arrived.
The starter portions were terribly small, and the steak which was part of our voucher deal was the worse steak I have ever eaten! They were cold, chewy and look off colour. The food and service was so appalling that we didn't hang around for dessert and refused to pay the 12.5% optional service which was 12.5 based on what the total of the bill would have been if we didn't dine with the prepaid voucher! I would not go back to eat there again nor would I recommend to anyone. There are definitely a lot better steak houses out there! Even Angus Steak House would beat that place!

Horrible place! Do not go there. Service to run away from. Can't even handle simplest requests.

My friends and I recently visited The Steakhouse with Groupon vouchers. Although the service and staff were good, we were treated like second class citizens. We were taken to a table in a confined area by the bar. My friends were quite pleased as it was secluded but I found it too 'out of the way' with no ventilation and no natural light. The food was absolutely fine and we were treated respectfully. Towards the end of our meal people were being directed to the bar area which is too small for this, and a group of four were told that our table was the one they were waiting for, not too discreetly either. We were unaware there was a time limit to our booking. One of the group, a man, leant with his back to the bar and stared at us to hurry us along. Then a woman from the same party put her handbag and menu on our table, leant forward and started to read the menu. I was amazed to say the least. No member of staff seemed to notice this which I think is very poor customer relations. I have written to the restaurant to suggest they no longer participate in the Groupon scheme if this is how they treat the customers. I have yet to receive a reply...

There are many better Steakhouses in London than this one! Go to them instead!! Just because it has a celebrity Chef's name over the door does not make it a good place to eat..... We booked via Groupon which made no difference to the end bill so I would not use this scheme again.
The Pork Belly crackling was like shoe leather and I could not even cut through it with a steak knife. The worst thing about the restaurant was the utter lack of ventilation. The aircon did not work and when you are eating a big meal no fresh air makes it very very uncomfortable. All that was on offer was small fan. According to the waiter this is a common complaint from customers....so fix the problem them.
The waiter was excellent but for a meal costing over £100 I would NOT eat here again. I was even more annoyed that I complained and never heard back from them.....

Went on Monday 6th June in the evening and the place was full. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, smoked salmon, crab - fillet steaks and sides and had 2 great bottles of rioja.
The staff were friendly and the service good - we stayed for drinks after and were not made to feel rushed toward the end.
Highly recommend!

I went to the Kings Road Steak & Grill in Chelsea last week saturday and was appalled by the reception I received from the Manager Arthur. We were booked in for 9pm but unable got there 15 minutes late because of traffic. During our trip there, we tried to call 58times! but the line was constantly engaged... We eventually got there and our presence was not acknowledged. We stood at the reception for another 10-15mins before we were finally answered. By which time we were told our table was given away. We explained that we have been trying to call to make them aware of the delay and he had the audacity to show me 2 phones ringing off the hook, which no one was answering. Clearly, he was proud to show us that we were not the only one being ignored.
We asked if we could wait at the bar until a table becomes free and Arthur refused, asking us to go wait at the bar ‘EightOverEight’ next door. We found that shocking and tried to contest it, but he said he couldn’t help and all he could do was call us when a table was free.
The bar next door was packed, so we proceeded to look for another bar around the area to wait as we were celebrating and looking forward to the meal. At 11pm we still had no call back from Arthur at the restaurant, so we decided to walk back and have a look our self. Lo and behold, there were more than 5 vacant tables available. Understandable we were angry at this and asked Arthur why we were not called, and his reply was a ‘shrug’. No apology was given we were embarrassed as the seated guests at the restaurant had all eyes on us. At this point we felt highly disrespected and very angry, but seeing as we were hungry we asked if we could still eat. He eventually replied yes and we were served.
This was my first time at the restaurant and for a restaurant of such high reputation I expected to have a good experience, but all in all in was unpleasant. Needless to say I didn’t enjoy the food as all I wanted to do was eat and get out of there. Not at any time did it occur to Arthur to apologise for his behaviour and attitude towards us.
A night of celebration with my Boyfriend turned out to be a night of hell!

Visited restaurant with high expectations, but this quickly diminished. I don't know if it was because we'd gone along with a 'LivingSocial' voucher (which gave us some money off), but from the initial hostility when booking, to the reception and subsequent service, this was an entirely sub-par experience. The manager / owner was quite unhelpful, and at times, along with his staff, was quite rude in just avoiding serving our table. The food was not awful, but for what would have been full-price, not worth the money. The atmosphere was a little tense and rushed, and I felt the staff were keen to turnover tables, rather than ensure a good evening.
All in all, the combination of the restaurant and Living Social voucher did not make for the best dining experience, and I sadly would not recommend.

Overall disappointing experience. Whilst the starter and main course were good (steaks were excellent), dessert was poor. Service on the evening we visited was shambolic - red wine was poured into the same glasses the white had been served in and the red wine was 'cool' to say the least! It was also chilly sitting at a table near the front door! Having looked forward to a special pre Christmas evening with 3 friends we were embarrassed that we had chosen this venue.

Great evening, doors were open and we sat up at the front. Food was extremely good, the best steak in London.
Service unobtrusive but always there.
