your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne

Ate theIr recently and to be honest.....it was an online deal.......

So, steak....average. Fries....awful. Sauces...poor....really poor! Wine list......stupid. Staff.....a bit pushy but ok.

To be honest Fish and a Tie and Le Pot Lionaise wee all over them......as does the Butcher & Grill.

Food was ok, nothing special, I have had better. Purchased voucher for 3 courses and champagne cocktail. Sides all extra. Overall cost of water, wine and sides around £31.00 even though voucher was for a 3 course meal for 2 and third course was not taken and only one starter purchased. I admit that was our choice but 2 sides I am sure cost less than the 3 dishes not eaten. Anyway we knew we had to pay for this did not realise the 12.5% surcharge was on the whole meal and come to over 10.00 so cost around £44.00. Would we go again? No. Was quite relived to leave. In saying that staff really friendly etc just not value for money. Maybe I expected too much.

Had an amazing evening at Marco's King's Road Restaurant. The staff were accommodating, polite and really made my birthday celebration a success. The food was gorgeous. The whole evening was totally enjoyable to the extent we did not want to leave - thank you guys!

Totally, utterly, 100% uninspired.....was I eating in a Bernie...?

Steak.... Nothing at all special

A tomato on top of a mushroom (wow OMFG)

Some salad and dressing

The so called steak knife didn't work as it spent too much time trying to be a flick knife, good at stabbing people maybe but not at cutting through drab, chewy steak.

Tatty place downstairs, tiles missing off bathroom walls... To think this guy goes on telly criticising other people's eating places...

It's just his name over the door of a nothing eatery.

I've had better food ambiance and cutlery in a pub... Any pub.... Anywhere..

Me and my Brother dropped in at your King's Road eatery on Saturday 15th September 2012. With no reservation but a ready smile and a mention of Marco being my food hero. Followed by a twinkle in my eye fot the Maitre D and Tom the waiter...,We were luckily found a table. The fab-u-lous attention to detail and our every need from Tom (Shortly off to train as a wine specialist waiter under Angela Hartnett's tutorledge) was nothing less than we'd have expectered from a Marco Restaurant :))) The food was of an exceptional standard and a gastronomical delight delight. Just one slight criticism the Mash Potato could have been a little creamier for the way I do it at home - so its absolutely melt in the mouth consistancy...., Please pass on my very best wishes to 'Cheeky Chappy' Tom for his AWESOME service. He made our night - Marco, he's a STARRRR :))))))) to watch for the future.....Thanx again and can't to return this time with a booking and my Partner for a romantic meal.....Another of my 'to do wish list' achieved. The food was to die for...... I enjoyed my kiss on my exit too off Tom . He kept to his word although working very hard on a very busy night!!! Thanx again love Bev O'Neill and John Ogden xxxxx

Very Poor - could have got better food at a Wetherspoons.

Basic Table set up missing side plates and butter knives for the stale bread that they provide.

Expected better quality food - Fatty undercooked steak - sloppy spinach and greasy soggy triple cooked chips.

Sticky Toffee pudding was the best dish on the menu.

Food to eat not food to enjoy.

Very very disappointed and to top it off everyone else was there with a Groupon voucher which cheapened the establishment.

I went last night to Marco Pierre White Restaurant on Kings Road and I felt that I had to write a review about it.

I chose this place because I went for the 50% main course deal and I thought, I cannot go wrong with the food if it's Marco Pierre White!

Anyway, to start off, the Manager seemed clueless of how to make the business run. The restaurant itself has very little space but they made sure to use every single inch of it by squeezing the tables. The starter (Pork Belly) was not OK, We ordered a lamp chop which was good at £22, it came with one slice of tomato and one slice of mushroom. At this very moment, I turned around, and like in a horror film I noticed everyone in the restaurant is having the same thing on the plate! Thinking the meat itself won't be enough I ordered a side dish, some triple fried chips. Now that was definitely fried 3 times as it was soggy and oily. They have been pre-fried and re-re-fried. The bearnaise sauce which came with the meat had way too much vinegar and butter inside. The poor staff was running around trying to make the best of it but they had no clue at all how to serve.

The final conclusion was that it is definitely not worth the money. I would have rather spent the same money in a Gastro pub and have much better food.

Disappointing

Had a voucher from the Telegraph for a meal for two and was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews but everything was great. The service was excellent from start to finish and the food was really good. The steak was cooked as ordered and was like butter to cut. Triple cooked chips were better than you get at the hind head. Service is a little rushed as they clearly turn the tables but we were happy with the amount of time we had.

We ate there yesterday with a voucher, the staff were superb and couldn't have been any better. We could not complain about anything and some said they took the service charge from the whole bill not the discounted one, but they didn't with us. A very good experience and would recommend it to anyone.

My wife and i tried this restaurant nov 2011. Reading the reviews i was expecting to be disappointed but it just shows how wrong these reviews can be. Admittedly we went on a special offer night which helped from a value point of view but putting all this aside we were absolutely delighted with everything. ambience, staff and quality of food could not have been better. We were given a table with plenty of room, the staff were very polite and efficient and our food was cooked as requested. Would we use it again? Yes we would. Advice to anyone else would be try it yourself and make your own mind up. Most enjoyable and look forward to returning.
