Have just started eating at Jimmy's - don't know why I took so long to venture in but I wish I'd done it sooner.

Delicious food, fresh, well prepared and beautifully presented with plenty of choice. Lovely looking room with plenty of good tables. Probably the best service in London - professional but very warm and consistent.

Can't recommend this place enough and at £27.50 for three courses a veritable bargain. My favourite combination is crab cocktail, pepper steak with their amazing chips and cheesecake to follow.

James the owner is almost always there to ensure a warm welcome, only downside is it's getting more popular so i guess booking in advance will becom essential.

Returned to Jimmy's last Sunday having been assured by the owner that changes had been made since the somewhat less than complimentary review that I wrote on here last time. He was right - A tremendous improvement. To be fair my wife has never wavered in her liking for Jimmy's and once described it as "a ladies restaurant". At the time I agreed because the portions weren't substantial enough and variety was rather lacking.

We both started with egg benedict which was excellent as usual. My wife followed with her usual-the chicken liver pate. Then came the big test-My main course! I ordered the roast pork. Deliciously tender with plenty of crispy roast potatoes, a tasty sauce, magnificent yorkshire pudding and vegetables. Now this is proper Sunday lunch-not just a big yorkshire pudding with a morcel of braised beef in the middle-Unpretentious, wholesome, and tasty food.

Thank you for listening James and see you soon. Well done.

Had yet another brilliant meal at Jimmy's. Third visit in a month and each time the menu has new things to try which is great. And delicious! The service was amazing and the very charming owner was absolutely world class. It gets busier each time I go - and I even got to do some celeb spotting!

I'm afraid that Jimmy's was nowhere near as good as usual when we went for Sunday lunch yesterday. Whilst my wife claimed the eggs benedict was the "best I've ever had", and loved the pate, that's where the compliments end.

I chose the moules, one of the specials, for my starter. Admittedly I did ask for the lemon grass to be excluded but on arrival the dish not only lacked any flavour, half the moules were hot and the other half cold. The cold poached salmon that I ordered for my main course was no better -it merely consisted of a rather small piece of salmon on some runner beans and nothing else. My idea of cold poached salmon is to have hot buttered new potatoes with the fish and a delicious salad. This was so drab I wanted to cry. Our friend chose the Beef and yorkshire pudding which he deemed "extremely disappointing". Not hard to see why. The dish was just a huge yorkshire pudding and a small piece of braised beef plonked in the middle. On an previous visit I chose the Beef Wellington and remeber being disappointed at the lack of vegetables and scarcity of roast potatoes. Despite the potential of this place it needs to avoid going down the road of nouvelle cuisine, otherwise the very personable owner will come unstuck like the previous incumbent of this site. It's not cheap at Jimmy's either and for the price, the servings should be much more imaginative-and larger.

First impressions- Great greeting on arrival, young, friendly and good fun....a very good start. It got better. A fab kir royal served in an eccentric gravity defying flute. the food was impeccable, british and unbelievably tasty. the chef done good! can't believe that boy is only 25....the beef welly was to die for! the front of house were brilliant, attentive to perfection. I would heartily recommed it. If you want starchy napkins and best behaviour, maybe not for you. If you want a lovely relaxed great value restaurant with fabulous food.....voila! ps the italian waiter was fabbo!!! x

Working in the area I decided to try the very smart looking new addition to our end of the Kings Road.

Once inside it wasn't as formal as i had thought which made for a lovely relxed lunch with an important client.

Service was very friendly and fast.

Food excellent, I think probably one of the best ever renditions of roast chicken that was so good it was hard to describe. Succulent and bursting with flavour and cooked with a delicious herb called loveage.

Decent Chablis £32 a bottle and champagnes by the glass were excellent too.

All in all great fun and very very good value at £22 for 2 courses, my chicken was on the lunch menu at £15 for 2 courses please note.

We'll be back with friends very soon.

I thoroughly recommend this place. The food is absolutely delicious and whilst the wine is expensive, (the 2 course menu is £22) it is the best of it's kind in Chelsea in my opinion.
