Top-class food let down by poor service.
We were celebrating my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the food. I had mussels, sea bass and Eton mess and was pleased with every course. My companion had the tuna and creme brulee and was complimentary on both, especially the brulee. Cunningly the sweets come with optional glasses of recomended dessert wines. Naturally we fell for this !
The only disappointing feature was the sometimes poor service with long waits between courses only ended when we were able to catch any passing random waiting staff.

Had dinner with the Mrs on Valentine's Day. Thought seafood for a change. Walked in but was told that my table was given away since I had booked for 19:00 despite having it changed to 20:00. The gentleman showed us to a table after waiting for 5 minutes and gave us our menus. Ordered some wine to begin with, then the starters with fish soup. Was not that impressed to be honest but thought the main would make up for it. Had the tuna steak accompanied with some garlic potatoes which I found was quite a small portion. The steak was well done but a tad bland. Ordered two more glasses of wine and asked for the dessert menu but didn't order. Bill was about £100.
I would go again when they start putting a bit more taste in their food. The environment was quite noisy and with music playing on top of that. If you feel like seafood and dining alone, good choice; otherwise look around a bit more. Luckily I had a few surprises up my sleeve for that evening, because if I were to rate it on just the restaurant, it would be very poor indeed. Very pleasant staff though.

I ate here on Xmas Eve and although the food and service isn't up to the standard of the Marylebone High Street branch it was still very good. The batter on the Calamari rings was a bit too oily (temperature too low?) but my wife's Monkfish was cooked to perfection. I think it is a bit pricey if you take the a la carte option but the set menu looks like a great deal.

Myself and 2 friends ate at this restaurants on Sunday 14 June 2009. Very disappointing, we had the set menu, quality of food was not good, mussels were the smallest and tasteless I have had, fishcakes are ok nothing special not much fish in them. Any sauce that came to the table was oily. Whitebait was not crispy enough. We would have complained but didn't have the energy after the manager come to our table during our main meal to question us on why we had sent back a bottle of wine that had not cooled down enough for us to drink, he felt it was cold enough for us to drink!! Also asked us what we expected him to do with the wine now - we nearly told him what we thought he should do with it!! When it was first served were told that the wine was a bit warm but would cool down in 5 mins we accepted this, when it hadn't cooled down in 20 mins we sent it back. If the staff had checked on the wine and maybe put more ice and water in the bucket and managed the situation better it may have been different. I would not recommend this restaurant for the food, the waiters try hard but it doesn't come together, the manager is rude. Stay away.
