Absolutely love this pub. The food is good with generous portions, and the menu changes often enough to stay interesting. Good beers/drinks selection and a nice comfy cosy atmosphere. Staff are friendly and warm too.

I always eat in the bar area rather than the restaurant at the back, but the decor looks just as appealing in there.

Highly recommended.

Interesting pub where the food definitely punches above its weight, great selection of tapas on offer as a starter with a good selection of well presented and well cooked British classics.

Service was a bit ropey but overall a well run and well kept chain pub.

Fantastic pub. Definite highlight of year living in Chiswick where there are so many truly mediocre and overpriced restaurants. Delicious menu, knowledgeable staff and lovely garden for the summer and for the smokers. Fab Will miss....

one of the most beautiful pubs I have been to here in London. Also, the food is good (the pie is delicious and really big) and the staff is really nice. I totally recommend

Had Sunday lunch at this great gastro pub. Room is beautiful, it was busy but not too noisy. Staff super friendly and helpful and food was delicious. You could just live off the bread and the amazing garlic dip (can't remember the name) but it was delicious. A lot of our table had the roast beef, very generous portion, did not like the red cabbage but everything else was good. The chips (which my daughter ordered) were to die for. We were all so full with all the yummy food but being the greedy pigs we were, we could not resist pudding. Eton mess, sticky toffee pudding and rhubarb trifle. Again the only negative is that the rhubarb trifle although tasting very good, did not actually taste of rhubarb - too many other flavours going on.

oh - and good coffee.

I would not hesitate in recommending it.

Tamarind and Thyme

Tamarind and Thyme

Sunday, January 23, 2011 - The Catalan rice w/ meatballs and prawns was a soupy rice dish that almost resembled a stew. Sloppy, soupy rice dishes like this exist in Catalunya but this one had the unfamiliar flavour of paprika. Unfortunately, it was also too soupy and required more rice but overall, it was a delicious dish with tasty meatballs and extremely fresh prawns. The Roast cod, black rice, aioli was excellent and nothing could be faulted with it. The cod was flaked beautifully at the touch of a fork while the black rice left rings of squid ink around our mouths as we shovelled it in along with the creamy aioli.
