I agree with below comments.... this place is just a joke in London. they're simply expensive and big but everything is waste. none of cook was following a hygienic standard and food was tasteless. we dont drink alcohol therefore we asked for juices and glass of water but they brought us juices and wine, serving person was rude and got an attitude problem.

we will not go back to this JOKE N1 restaurant to waste our money and spoil our dinning experience.

This is by far the WORST RESTAURANT I have ever been to. I haven't ever written reviews before for any products/ restaurants/places, because I have never felt strongly about any place but this place was a joke.

The food was atrocious, majority of the food looked highly unappealing, and any that did look edible was well...the meat & chicken was chewy not tender, the rice was not cooked properly, the drinks I witnessed myself were poured from a carton, and the meal was not pleasant at all.

Usually when the food is lacking, you look to the atmosphere, it was the worst service ever, they gave us the bill before we had even finished our first plate of food. They were cleaning around us, and even had the nerve to tell us to sit somewhere else so they could clean up, this is by the way far before the closing time. When a few friends merely went to get a cake for my friend's bday, whom were not gone for more than 15 mins. We were bombarded by several waiters at once for the payments even before some of us had finished eating, and might I add they were not even closing for the dinner buffet. Honestly trust what you read in the low rated reviews, I thought they were joking, they are not joking. I also don't have very high expectations and have had takeaways better than the atroucious stuff they call food! PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I went to Kitchin N1 last Saturday and was very impressed. Although I was worried when we arrived and the staff seemed to have no record of my table reservation (made via the internet and confirmed by Kitchin N1), I was positively impressed with the restaurant and the cuisine.

There is a good choice of food, which was all fresh and good quality. In the Chinese section there are some pre-prepared dishes but there is a section where you can choose your ingredients and they will be cooked in the wok for you - basically just choose the rice/noodles and vegetables and then tell the Chef if you want chicken, prawns or whatever.

There was some sushi available but I missed the ginger and wasabi to complement it.

I loved the salad bar - a good choice available. The pasta and pizza were not brilliant so we tended to stick to the Thai, Chinese and Indian dishes. I particularly enjoyed the lamb curry.

On the down side, the staff were not quite as attentive as they should have been. Our plates weren't cleared fast enough so we often ended up putting them on the empty table next to us. Also it took quite a while for the drinks to arrive and they were a bit on the pricey side.

I also found it strange and somewhat annoying that not all food items belonging to one cuisine were placed next to each other. For example, the poppadoms were next to the pasta and pizza, not in the section where the curries were. Also the indian condiments (mango chutney, mint yoghurt sauce etc) were over the other side, on the salad bar.

The desserts were average - the cake was basic but the rocky road bites were nice and the ice-cream machine was a hit with all.

All in all, an enjoyable evening and a great selection so everyone finds something they like.

Very disappointed and will never go back to this restaurant. We were welcomed very rudely with showing no manners. Food lacked in aesthetic quality, cold and disgusting. Waiters did not understand with our drinks order as we had to ask with 3 staff, finally orders arrived after 25mins but was wrong.

We complained to the manager about our food and service but no action has been taken.

We've been eating in many restaurants but never been to such worst restaurant like kitchen (what a waste). KFC and McDonalds are much better as they are providing friendly service, mouth watering and fresh food.

Not sure what the previous reviewer had a problem with, we had a party of 30, booked in advance for a birthday, we paid at the door (apparently for groups this is their policy to make paying easier). I suppose we didn't change numbers so that might of made It smoother.... Anyway place was great, food was varied and tasted good ( my faves being the stir fry and ice cream machine) . The service was quick and polite, all in all a great night out. I'll be back for my office do in a months time, special thanks to suishil for dealing with the booking!

I booked a table for 6 a few days ago for my brother's birthday, the next day I had 11 more people confirm so I called the restaurant to change the booking.

35minutes before the time in which the table was book I had 3 more people confirming at the last minute in which I called the restaurant to tell them.

The lady I spoke to was so rude, she said no you can't add 3 more people I asked why and she said the table is already set, she wanted to cancel the booking in which I told her not to as I have 17 people who will be turning up there.

So I left it at that, 2 minutes later a guy calls from the restaurant telling me that he is going to cancel the whole booking. I was surprised I asked why he said, first you book for 6 people then 17 and now 20. I said I'm sorry it's last minute, when people confirm at the last minute there is nothing that I could really do.

He was arguing with me that he will cancel the booking and no one more than 17 can attend. I was really surprised with the way he spoke to me he was so rude and willing to turn away 20 diners. We left it that 17 people would come and he said everyone has to pay before going to the table which I also found very rude.

I went to the restaurant 10 mins before the time so that I could sort out the mess. The man in the suit who I assume is the manager was at the front. My sister and I paid, a waiter called us by 'oi this way' as he took us to the table.

Everyone that came to the party paid before they sat down which I found really embarrassing, that's what you do in Nando's and McDonalds.

They didn't offer us any drinks we had to call a waiter 4 times every time we wanted refreshments.

I have been there twice before and the service and food was absolutely great but this time I found it a horrible experience even though the food is ok ish I would not consider going back there.
