Have been to a few sushi bars in london, the best before tonight being kyoto, but have to say that i was really pleasantly surprised with cocoro. The menu is extensive and made me wonder if the lure of choice was a mask for disappointing quality, but the minute the soft shell crab rolls hit the table, the sounds of herman hermits resonated in me and i knew i was on to something good. Octopus with wasabi was warned by the waitress as being raw, but with trepidation, ordered it and was a perfect accompaniment to the main meal. The presentation of the sushi plates are really beautiful. The service and the atmosphere were very friendly and relaxing, compensating hugely for a dinner date that talked incessantly about herself. Very vfm, highly recommend.

For Japanese , COCORO is the best top 3 Japanese restaurant in London.

Our Japanese company use this for business meeting dinner , so I go there very often during weekday , and weekend with my family.

Always we book at basement , they have very nice table there , take shoes off and sitting at Japanese style bench seat . I fell I am in Japan.

waitress are pretty and good services. Foods is very nice

Specially RAMEN noodle is the best in UK , out colleague says so ,

I recommend cocoro and book at least 1 week before. Always the basement is always full of Japanese people .

A great place to eat, just off Oxford Street.

Wonderful Japanese atmosphere, good service and high quality food. We particularly enjoyed the miso fish.

If you're in town and looking for a genuine Japanese experience (not take away sushi) then this place is worth a try.

Been there with hubby for dinner...very disappointed with the service and food quality. The manageress didn't train the staff properly and lack of japanese's "friendliness" feel/ambience.

My hubby even noticed one of the manageress scolded the staff in a rather rude manner...not to mention the price is quite pricey...will not recommend friends to come here for meal.

I also cannot recommend this restaurant. The cups were chipped, the tempura under cooked and the gyoza over cooked.

Also the smallest Miso soup I've ever had!

Very expensive for the quality of the food.

There are a lot better Japanese restaurants in London.

Cocoro is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants.

Ground floor is normal usual restaurant but downstairs has proper Japanese small compartment and you can have semi-private conversation. It reminds me of spending time in back home hideout place. You might need non-hole socks for going there though, you need to take your shoes off!!

Food's produce is lovely and sophisticated.

I know it's a bit pricy but most of Japanese meal's ingredient is not produce by this country so it is natural to be a bit more expence onto it.

I am sure if you bring someone who never try Japanese food, they will open their eyes in new experience with reasonable price than very famous place like celeb goes.

Unfortunately I cannot particularly recomment this restaurant. Food is reasonably delicious or okay; but does not worth the money it carries. The service is, again, okay but not very attentive or kind. Shochu or other sakes are extremely expensive, in my view as a Japanese person. All in all, this restaurant is not too bad but I would not patronise it.
