The service was absolutely pathetic and waiters were dirty. The steaks were really uncooked. I will never come back and i hope the owner is aware because this is a really bad restaurant.

It's a good thing that Misleading Advertising Directives apparently do not apply to web sites for restaurants. A very disappointing experience, perhaps because there was a large function in most of the restaurant. Medium rare steak came as medium and medium as medium rare; plates taken away while people were dining; dover sole on the bone came as sole fillets very much off the bone; service gruff, unprofessional and unobliging. Best to close the restaurant to other diners when there is a function, perhaps. Sorry - but give it a miss.

As a steak & roast beef specialist, I expected having jucy perfect beef there.
But contrary to my expectation the roast beef was well well done & dry as if it was left over from the day before.
Thinking about the price, I felt regret for going there.

On our first visit to London in a long time, we met up with some cockney friends and they had arranged a dinner for Saturday night. On entering the restaurant, the interior was very pleasant with wood panelling and various pictures of animals. We found the food quality very good which was matched by prompt waiter service, any questions which we asked members of staff were answered fully, which made for an informative evening. One slight error regarding misinformation by the waitress, was dealt with immediately and was reflected in the price. This is certainly a restaurant that I recommend and would return to. The steaks were top of the class!!!

Went for sunday lunch with my family and was using a 50% discount off food voucher. To be honest, if I had paid full whack I would have absolutely been disgusted as the food, service, ambience were all below standard. It reminded me of a dining experience c.1975...the only highlight was the horseradish sauce for the beef which appeared home-made.

The service I `ve found in Greig`s Restaurant close to Berkley Square was really unexpected. I was lucky to get the opportunity to have my private dinner in the lovely wine room. Except for the narrow staircase to arrive on the second floor I had great pleasure with my guest disturbed only by the nice waiter that came to delight us with delicious courses and kindness.
Hope to come back very soon to this restaurant with my friends or work mates

We have been to this lovely restaurant on several occassions, and every time it has been sublime.
A very good restaurant with a traditional English menu, reasonably priced, and a decent wine list. Excellent steaks cooked to perfection. Very good service too.
Lovely main room although a bit narrow.
Greig's is definately one of our favorites.

This is obviously a hit or miss restaurant and sadly, we got them on a "miss" night. Arrived early for our table having been told they had a bar and were asked to go next door as they had no room. Were served sliced bread obviously shop bought. Ate from a reduced price set menu with an unimaginative and uninspiring salad and tomato soup that tasted as if from an industrial tin. Main course steaks, ordered blue, rare and medium must have got caught up in a kitchen tangle as they all arrived well well done and tough. Vegetable side dishes would have been fine if they'd arrived at the same time and weren't cold on arrival, by which time so were the steaks. Took over 30 minutes and two reminders for the bill to arrive by which time my friends had missed their train. All in all I fail to see what there is to recommend this establishment?
