We enjoyed a great lunch on the terrace at Greig’s this week. Pleasant, knowledgeable staff providing a timely, non-intrusive service and the delicious British food that compliments the whole setting. All this on a quiet street in Mayfair. What a result!

Service with a smile sounds like a cliché these days however that’s exactly what you get at Greig’s. A lovely oak panelled restaurant hidden in one of London’s stunning back streets, only minutes away from the busy West End, where you are welcomed by a handsome young Manager who’s charming smile makes you want to stay all evening.
I first visited with a friend for lunch anonymously to vet the venue prior to a group booking I wanted to make. The lunch was what I had hoped for, in everyway, and I was quick to confirm Greig’s for the event I was organising thereafter.
A group of 35 in their private dining room isn’t an easy feat for even the greatest restaurant. At Greig’s it was merely a walk in the park. Every steak was cooked to perfection; every plate hot and the wine topped up without noticing.
From restaurant to private dining I’ve experienced it all and Greig’s is now a firm favourite.

Took my parents to Greig's last night on the promise of an excellent steak dinner. The quality of the steak didn't disappoint although my father did have to send his back as it hadn't been cooked quite to his liking. Additionally, the waiter made a slight error with his desert which, while not detracting from the enjoyment, was irritating. All in all not a bad restaurant but not somewhere I'd hurry back to. If the rest of the meal and the service could live up to the high quality of the steak then this place would never be empty.

Hello Londoners.
We were in London on convention and were advised by the hotel concierge that this restaurant is the best place in Mayfair for unfussy chargrilled steak and seafood.
Good recommendation. Big steaks (16oz filet). Juicy lobsters. Great staff - mix of grey hair and youth.
And not bad value when you think how bad the dollar has gotten.
A real good restaurant to go with buddies to wind down after a hard day!
Thanks Paul at the Hilton!

Tradition can be a rarity nowadays in this fast moving city. Greigs is fantastic for many reasons but if I am honest, I love Greigs for its ability to maintain its smart and elegant charm whilst at the same time being simple. It is without doubt one of the better steak houses in central London at the moment and the rest of the menu compliments with similar standards.
A lovely venue on Bruton Place, an ideal location for many reasons but above all for the lovely stroll through Berkeley Square at the end of our evening.
I will be returning soon, without hesitation.

I had a great night at Greig’s. A perfectly cooked steak, friendly waitresses, amazing choice of wine and a wonderful Maitre d’. I will happily recommend Greig’s to my friends and colleagues, and will no doubt be visiting again soon myself.

After a great evening last week at Greig’s I feel compelled to share my experience with others. Greig’s is a smart, traditional, English restaurant with friendly staff and an efficient service. It is situated on a lovely, quiet mews off Berkeley’s square in Mayfair. Although on the door step of London’s west end it isn’t overcrowded, and as result the staff are able to be flexible and accommodate your individual requests.
My husband chose the steak, which was cooked to perfection and I went for the Dover Sole, a personal favourite of mine. We weren’t disappointed - it was delicious. We mixed our choice or starters and desserts and the extensive wine list complimented every course.
We ate with friends, who recommended Greig’s to us, and it is definitely a restaurant we will be recommending to others. It’s refreshing to find such a great place in the heart of London without spending a fortune.
