Hugely disappointing. Went a month ago on a Saturday night - packed upstairs restaurant only apparently warranted one member of staff. Service was inevitably slow and when the food did come it was partially inedible. Starters of scallops were pretty tasteles and ham hock terrine was ok but nothing special. Fish main was acceptable but ox cheek and chick peas was actually burned on the bottom, totally overcooked and had to be sent back. Such a shame as it's a nice concept, there's a good atmosphere and the decor is lovely.... the food and service on the other hand is woefully inadequate.

Went last night.

Food was fantastic. Shared tapas to start - they have an amazing choice - highlights deep fried cauliflower with harissa and mancego cheese spring rolls with chilli jam.

Mains were equally as good - loved my main of baked sweet potato, spinich and blue cheese. There were other great veggie choices. Menu is obviously created by someone who understands that vegetarians don't just want to eat mushroom risotto!

My meat eating friends were equally well catered for - big steaks for them.

Puddings were sublime - we shared carrot cake, strawberry pavolva and fruit with choc sauce.

All washed down with lots of great wine.

Service was a little hit and miss. They forgot one tapas dish but charged us for it and put an extra bottle of red on the bill. I took offence when the waiter tried to tell us we had had 3 bottles of red (rather than the 2 we actually had) and then asked if we'd like to 'remove anything else from the bill'. However, my friends said that it was probably lost in translation (he was Spanish)

Service aside, I'd definitely return - food was too good not to.
