Looked forward to this after reading the reviews, but was a disappointment.

Food was luke warm, portions were on the small side (for me, but others had larger portions) and the Thai salad was very poor - had similar at another Thai restaurant which was gorgeous, this one was not what I expected at all - almost unpleasant. £3.20 for a smoothy and it arrived in a small glass - so it didn't last long!

On the good side. The meat was tender and the flavours were good, also the service was good and fast. Just made up make up for the other negatives but don't like being squeezed onto a table when several others are available. I had very little elbow room.

Left still hungry - that's after a main, and sharing a salad which was also a main.

Next time I'm in the area, I would try elsewhere.

Had dinner here last night. The food, it has to be said, was delicious (Pad Kwetio and Goong Tohd Prawn) but the service veered from fabulous to draconian, depending on which server appeared.

We sat outside and I don't know how many times they came out to check that our bags weren't sititng on top of their little in-built lights. At least 5 times, now that I think about it. We reassured them that we had taken on what they'd said, and that they could feel free to pass on the message to their colleagues, but still they came, checking up on us, leaning over our meals to make sure we weren't misbehaving like naughty children. Probably whilst starving diners wondered when they'd get their orders taken.

Really impressed, great food, friendly and engaging service, and what a beautiful building. Has anyone else spotted the hidden mini elephant statues?

Used to love this reataurant (always hated the Soho branch though). However, this branch has followed in the footsteps of its Soho branch - ie. Awful-awful service (with cutlery literally thrown on your table). Prices gone up + decrease in portions. Thumbs down.

Been there about two years ago as a new Londoner. Was really impressed by their popularity and wide range of selections of food for lunch. Then I have been to its branch near Soho a few months ago (I've left a review there), and felt okish. So the general impression for Busaba is that a popular causal eating place. If you are looking for some place to celebrate special occasions or for fine dinning, this is not the choice.

it is best modern thai food restaurant in london hands down!

i used to go the one on wardour street all the time, till one opened on store street

its the same menu but the food is somehow is even better! it also has a nicer atmosphere, the staff are friendlier and isnt as busy so you dont feel as rushed

the quality of food is superb and the flavours are mind blowing.i will admitt the drinks list isnt amazing, but im not much of a drinker so that doesnt bother me at all.i also find their prices are more the reasonable as im sure most londoners who love to dine out will tell you,you can pay up to 3 times more then that for worse food

A Rather Unusual Chinaman

A Rather Unusual Chinaman

Wednesday, September 16, 2009 - Morsels of chicken wrapped and roasted in pandan leaves. The roasting of the chicken in the pandan leaves imparts a slight flavour reminiscent of fennel, but slightly sweeter, hard to convey. The chicken was soft and tender and again, I really can't stop myself from eating this. Plenty of flavour, sauce is unneccesary in my eyes...To finish, I decided to go for the pad kwetio. I would say that this dish has a stronger origin in Malaysia as opposed to Thailand, it is essentially a wok fried dish of flat noodles. Nice, inoffensive and perfect to fill the hole. One thing I had noticed is that the portions are definitely getting smaller.

An American In London

Thursday, February 19, 2009 - Busaba Eathai could’ve been an anonymous, assembly-line Wagamama-type deal, but instead, the small things like pretty ceramic crockery for plain rice made me smile. Sure, its communal seating, but the dark wood and the sleek lanterns made my lunch seem more festive than a quick meal in a cafeteria. And the green chicken curry was packed with tender chicken, Thai aubergine and crunchy bamboo. The curry sauce was even spicy? Excellent. I could’ve drunk down the curry sauce alone. Actually, I think I did.
