This place is one of my favourites ... whether its a light snack with the calamari or a full on meal (green curry with coconut rice OR those wonderful rotti's) its always divine. The place is busy but that in contrast to the calm candles and minimilist theme just makes the place cool. Love it ... will definately go again ... maybe see you there?

I use to come here all the time. My boyfriend and I decided to come here last Saturday. I ordered my normal, a green curry fried rice. It was BITTERLY disappointing! Not only have the prices gone up but the quality is going down the pan! The chicken WAS a chicken breast about 6 months ago but is now bad cuts of chicken thigh. The dish is also now missing the sweet honey sauce which accompanied the dish on top of the chicken....so its now more expensive with missing ingredients and worse cuts of meat! I use to love this place but can say that Busaba is getting worse...time to move on!

Like some of the other reviewers, I wish I could like this place more. The problem, I think, is that the concept (warm, cod-zen minimalist) is more important than the food. Pad Thai I've had in Bangkok tastes pretty much the same as you get at Charlie Wright's or the upstairs room at the Bricklayers in Shoreditch; here it's far too light on the chilli. And it's a thin line between having efficient service and feeling rushed. Prices are pretty good - but then Thai usually is. Will probably go again, but only because I live round the corner.

Oh how I try to like these restaurants, but consistently fail. Many of my friends and colleagues seem hypnotised by this place, hence I keep ending up back there, and on each occasion thinking: right, never again.

The Busaba Eathai concept is as tired as it's pseudo-thai menu. The amount of sugar in each dish leaves me thinking that it should be Busaba Eatfilippino. If you're diabetic, stay away! If you like hot (temperature-wise) and authentic tasting Thai food, stay away!

These places are glammed up fastfood joints with little to offer the more delicate palette.

This time I mean it, never again! No more cold sugary slop!

We have never had a problem with service (see earlier reviews) at this jolly nice place. The wrapped chicken thingies are superb, the best, and everything tastes fresh and zingy - just like it should, with none of the oversweetened gloop that disfigures most Oriental cuisine in the UK. The seating could be more comfortable and you can feel a bit rushed, but that is about it. Decent wine by the glass too.

My daughter Zen introduced me to this restaurant and I find the staff very accommodating and polite. Also we didn't have to wait a long time for our order, in fact it was very quick and I was very pleased with the food we ordered. My favourite are the squid and cod dishes. I could go back there again and again, in fact we went there to celebrate my birthday with my family. It was fantastic and I already started recommending it to my friends. I'm taking my colleages there on Friday and I'm sure we will get the same welcoming and swift service as we had the previous times.

What a tranquil place to sit down and feast on some of the best Thai food I've had in London. I definitely recommend the char-grilled duck in tamarind sauce with chinese brocolli and jasmine rice. I was there at 11pm on Saturday night after the Foo Fighters gig and even though it was half an hour to kitchen closing time, I wasn't rushed during the meal. The service was warm and there was a definite buzz in the atmosphere (window seats highly recommended). You should definitely check it out!

The food is great i go back without hesistation. The atmosphere is always buzzy, the arrangement of the tables so that you share, can make it a very socialable. The downfall is that you can't book and have to queue. Avoid peak hours. Its best to go if you're only 2. a comlimentary of modern Thai with a twist of an authentic taste.

I have eaten at Busaba many times and belive the food to be great, some of the best Thai food I have eaten outside Thailand. The service is never great but very fast and I have always got what I ordered quickly.

Until - I booked the private room for a birthday at the store street restaurant and it was a total disaster. First of all out food was thrown at us all at the same time with no break between starters and main courses, despite the staff assuring us that the food came out 'at a reasonable rate'. When I questioned this, I was told this was normal due to the kitchen closing in 2 hours!! They then brought us a beef dish - part of the set menu we ordered, after I had requested they replace it with something else becuase our entire party were hindu so the beef would be wasted. When we were unable to finish a large amount of the food becuase it had all been brought out at the same time and we were rushed, the waitress then packaged up the rice leaving out the main dishes and we were asked to leave.

The only responce we got when we made a complaint was 'well dont worry, we will take the service charge off' a rather expensive £26 for the waitress throwing our food at us then ignoring us the entire night.

It was a huge disappointment as I am very fond of the restaurant. Since this incident I will not be eating there again.
