My friend booked this for her birthday a couple of weeks ago at my recommendation. The ground floor was packed (it is a little cramped and plastic down there) but our table was upstairs where i hadnt been before and the dark wood/ambiance was excellent. you dont even notice the other diners they are quite far apart tables.

The food was even better than i rememberd (although dont get the dim sum it's just a chunk of pork and no sight of the crabmeat) the mains were all deliscious esp the prawns - to die for, and the sauces are devine.

Finished off with a French coffee, the after dinner coffee menu is a must!

Location is perfect! but food is nothing special compared to other thai places in the area. Their green curry is disappointing: no aubergines!! Won't go there again.

A little too much in confined space. It is situated in a rather convenient location. Foods are nothing to die for. A little disappointed with red curry from last visit. I expected a little better than my diy cooking at home.

I was reccomended this restaurant by a friend and was impressed by all the rave reviews. I shan't be returning to PU's although the decor and location were nice and the food OK the service was terrible. My friend and I were part of a group and ordered a noodle dish, which had about 6 noodles in it. We oredered a side dish of noodles to compensate and brought this to the attention of our waitress. When we got the bill we requested to speak to the manager about the so called 'noodle' dish and were told that they were not willing to pay for our side of noodles as it is normal among noodle dishes to only consist of about 6 noodles. I am not exaggerating. My friend pointed out that my food looked like xmas dinner with gravy and she was right. The service was atrocious and I can't believe they wre happy to loose 2 customers over a side dish of noodles.

Went for a meal here when meeting my Dad who was visiting London. I chose Pu's primarily because of its handy location (and reviewers comments on here of course!) It's a nice place hidden away from the noise of Holborn.

We ordered the veggie set for two (£18 per head) and ate all of it, so the comments about portion size are correct. Couldn't have eaten any more though!

The vegetable green curry was fantastic, the tofu dish and stir fry dish good, and the starters tasty. The only slight disappointment was the Pad Thai which was rather greasy, but overall I would say the food was good quality. The bill with a glass each of wine and coffee, and tip came to £50, so it won't be a regular haunt of mine without Dad's credit card! I'd like it to be, though.

This has been one of our 2 favourite Thai restaurants since discovering it by chance 3 or 4 years ago (the other one is Yum Yum's at Stoke Newington) Food & service are consistently of the highest standard. Always a complete pleasure to come here for lunch or dinner - any excuse is good enough!

I really like this place. Very friendly polite staff. Delicious food that seems to be prepared on the spot instead of microwaved like in many other Asian restaurants. Nice atmosphere too thanks to pleasant interior. Reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit or two... Only recommendation foodwise: go for starters and main and leave the desert out, the deserts could be improved.
