Tootsies - Brent Cross

Brent Cross is a bit of a gastronomic wasteland, unless you like McDonalds or Yo! Sushi, so we were pleased to try out the new Tootsies. Inside it looks good but it's quite loud because it's so busy - we had to shout to hear each other and eventually gave up. Service was good - very friendly, slightly hyperactive.
The food is just ok. My smoked chicken burger was fine, but not exciting, while my Mum's tomato soup tasted mostly of tomato puree. Chicken alfredo was pretty standard, a bit too peppery. Milkshakes are good, but not as good as Ed's Diner.
We've been twice and wouldn't rush back. It's not expensive but the food just isn't worth the effort. That said, everyone around us was munching away quite happily so maybe it depends what you order or what kind of food you're used to.
Will Brent Cross ever have a decent eatery? We are always hungry there and always disappointed.

Tootsies is a nice restaurant within the Brent Cross Shopping Mall. Food is nice, nothing exceptional, but very edible. A baisc cafe/brunch style menu, not extensive but has most of the main popular items. Would have liked to seen more vegetarian dishes/options. Not much in the way of vege meals. Desserts were nice. Prices okay. Service was pleasant. Probabaly would go back as it's convenient/chilled than other Pizza/burger places & expensive coffee shops located within the the shopping centre.
