I wasn't very impressed with this restaurant, its extremely pricey and the food is not really up to standard. If you're going to spend quite a bit I'd suggest Kiku or Tsunami in Clapham.

Matsuri is a gem of a place - the food is spectacular. It's also real fun watching the tepanyaki chefs cooking if front of you. Don't miss out on the fireball icecream, it's a treat. Not many people know about this place, which makes you feel like someone who's into a truly delicious secret. Definitely the best Japanese restaurant in London.

As some people have said it may not be the most theatrical encounter but the service and quality of the food is fantastic. I would recommend this restaurant to me most discerning Japanese devote.

I’ve visited many Japanese restaurants in London and abroad and this is one of my favourites. I have been to this place both for dinner and lunch and the food was excellent on all occasions. The service was at times a little slow but the food is worth waiting for. The tepanyaki chefs are some of the best. Their house speciality the kobe steak is expensive but as a treat is worth every penny. Every time I've visited the restaurant it seemed to be almost epmty. Perhaps the ocation isn't great.
