Went there yesterday with my partner, was greeted by a warm intimate environment and was promptly greeted and seated beside the window, under a wooden canopy ceiling,
the waitress was very polite, attentive and professional, and to my side 2 tables had been laid out very nicely for a 16th birthday party-the guests that were there seemed to be enjoying themselves
For starters we ordered bbq wings, which were ok, average bbq wings, and peppered lamb kebabs, laid on a tasty sauce, however it did need extra seasoning for it to be really great and it could have arrived hotter as it got cold quite quickly-also one of the cubes of lamb was too tough to eat so i left that piece, otherwise i really enjoyed the dish.
For a main meal i had the rum and garlic prawns, with jollof rice-YUM YUM. Delicious. The wonderfully flavoured rice went perfectly with the flavoursome sauce, and the prawns were plump and juicy. They came skin on and were so yummy i almost licked the plate. I ordered some fried dumplings and dipped the fresh hot dumpling bread in the sauce-so nice. I really recommend jollof rice what a nice change from boring egg fried rice.
My partner ordered the special, chicken curry (on bone) with rice and peas, and he said he enjoyed it alot
For dessert we had apple crumble, the topping was a little stodgy but it tasted nice and sweet, i would have given 5 stars but gave it 4 due to there being no sweet potato pudding on menu and there is always room for improvement
The venue is split into 3 levels, with ground floor, an upper floor (wooden stilted platform-wow)and a smaller lower floor.
The cocktails are pretty expensive at £6.95 per glass, however soft drinks and wine are reasonably priced from £2.20 up and you do get a big glass of real coke, not draught nonsense. On paying there was no expectation of a tip and the waitress there should be commended. Manageress with her blue wings was also polite and welcoming.
Cant wait to go back.

Great Service and staff! it was my first time there today and I had a very good experience.
The food was fabulous and the portions more then generous as I had to request a doggy bag to take home. The Fishcakes and BBQ wings were wonderful and the grilled Lamb chops with jollof rice was very tasty.
The Ambiance was rustic, warm with a Afro Caribbean flavour. Unfortunately it received 9/10 for food as some of the options on the menu were not available but I will definitely return there again as the service and staff were very accomodating and friendly.

I have never written a review about a restaurant before, but I felt I had to write one for our visit to Ace Fusion. Myself and 10 others had dinner there on Saturday 17th July to celebrate my birthday, the food was all delicious and the service from Sharon was exceptional.
I think a few other reviewers have said there table wasnt ready on time or that the food took a long time to come, we experienced neither of these problems, our table was booked for 6pm and when I arrived at 5.45 it was set and ready for us, and our food came quick enough.
I was given a fantastic carnival style headress to wear and the staff all sang happy birthday to me.
Brilliant meal, fantastic service and fantastic atmosphere made for a wonderful night out!!!

Having tried a bunch of the neighboring restaurants, Ace Fusion is a good one. The service was friendly, though on Caribbean time - not super fast, but we weren't in a rush. Jerk chicken was nice - spicy with a nice flavor. The hot wasn't mindblowingly spicy which was was a pleasant surprise. Cute atmosphere, but several tables are under a loft-type thing so maybe mention if you're booking and are quite tall! They seem to do a good takeaway business, too. Ace Fusion will be going in the local restaurant rotation.

After reading raving reviews about Ace Fusion and as a lover and connaisseur of African and Caribbean food, I decided it was well worth a visit and went with a friend.
On the positive side, I found from a strictly business and marketing point of view, the owners definitely score full marks! The decor was very pleasant and tasteful, although on such a bitterly cold night, the restaurant was pretty cold, and seemed to lack heating.
Service was quick, there was a lot to choose from on the menu and the cocktails were very good though overpriced. The food was disappointing and lacking in authenticity. I had looked forward to the rum prawns I had heard so much about with great enthusiasm. I had jolloff rice with the prawns, and my friend had curry goat with rice and peas. The rice in both cases was undercooked and lacked taste, the meat in curry goat was tough and heavy on gristle and there were too few prawns - both were lacking in distinctive taste. The food altogether lacked the seasoning that characterises authentic African-Caribbean cuisine and consequently tasted a little on the bland side. We also had plantain and here again, we were disappointed as unfortunately, it was far from ripe enough and we were served with 6 baton-like pieces. By the time we had finished the main course, we'd decided to opt out of the dessert for fear of further disappointment. All in all, the portions were disappointing given the price of the food, all this in my view, making for pretty poor value for money.
Having said this, I think the owners have a good thing going, but I would suggest better seasoning, better quality products (truly ripe plantain, tender meat etc..) larger portions or lower prices. If they could move the bar from where it is, they could get more tables in and possibly relieve the entrance area which seems a little crowded. If they could do this, I'm sure people would come from afar to enjoy an evening in charming surroundings. Personally, although we spent a pleasant evening, for the moment, we would not be inclined to go there again, neither would we recommend it to anyone wanting to experience authentic African-Caribbean food.

We felt like we'd struck gold when we discovered this little nugget on St John's Hill. There are not many places in London that you will get the kind of service Femi and Sharon bestow on their customers at ACE. There were two birthday parties there, having an absolute ball, and though we had nothing particular to celebrate ourselves, it was an unexpected slice of carnival which left us happy happy happy.
What's more, the food is delicious - the chicken wings were enormous and utterly delicious in the ACE spicy sauce. We also had Creole Cod, Jerk Chicken and Mango Chicken, all of which were summarily despatched. Lots of cold Red Stripe and rum punch washed it down and we staggered home thoroughly pleased with ourselves.
