This pub is a little gem. From the unassuming menu and reasonable prices i wasn't expecting much more than decent pub grub. In fact I got the best burger I can remember having in ages. My colleagues also loved their tuna steak and surf & turf and the deserts of Eton Mess and Apple Crumble were delicious. The staff couldn't have been nicer. This place is a fantastic value for money gastropub doing great food with charming service.

Last time I went to this pub it was a smelly smokey affair which left my eyes watering. After recent renovations, it is now a lovely little gastro. Food was exceptional (I had Tuna cooked as exactly as ordered on a green bed and my partner a steak sandwich, which was surprisingly thick and the sauces happily on the side rather than splashed on.) The South African waiter a very plesant and helpful chap and chose a very passable Cab Sav for us.

A quaint little haven in an increasingly uber-trendy & gentrified W1U
