One of the worst Thai food I ever had in my life - and I eat out Thai quite frequently (maybe 1-2 per month) since it usually is safe and predictable.
I am gluten intolerant and usually Pad Thai since made with rice noodles or most curries is safe...however the waitress told me that the rice noodles are made with wheat flour (never ever did I came across rice noodles with wheat flour), but well better be safe than sorry and ordered a green curry with rice, and my mum, who was not very hungry, only ordered a beef satay and we also ordered a jasmine tea. My daughter ordered some prawn crackers (which are free in most thai places I have been to, but here it was a £2 item on the menu and it was just about 10 prawn crackers) and some sticky rice that she loves.
Well, tea came and it was one little lousy cheap quality tea bag (again usually in Thai places you get jasmine tea in leaves) and it was basically only hot water...there was no taste whatsoever....and this for £3 per person - 6 £ for both of us (I bet if I would have ordered tea for one I would have got the same amount). I asked for the Green curry not to be so spicy, and when it came, the waitress asked me to try it to see if it was spicy...and wow, it was..so she took it back and brought it back a few minutes later which then was only coconut milk with about 6 little prawns and about 6 little vegetables in it - and a can of coconut milk - so again no taste whatsoever, and this was over £11 (since it also had a surcharge for the prawns)..... We then waited about 20 min for the bill, it really seemed they avoided us, and when the bill arrived, we got charged for the prawn crackers, the satays (in any other restaurant they would have either offered a new portion or taken it off the bill), £6 for the hot water and then they had the nerve to add the 12.5 % surcharge charge onto the bill....well, we did not pay the surcharge since there was no good service and worse of all - horrible overpriced food. I have never written a negative restaurant critique, but this by far has been the worst Thai food I have eaten...and then spent £32 for what was 2 portions of sticky rice, 6 little prawns in a soup of luke warm coconut milk, and hot water!

Went to this restaurant for my sisters birthday on Saturday. The food was good and our waiter was great. The only this that spoilt the experience was a very rude member of staff. She spoilt the whole experience and I would not go back because I would never want to see her again.

I went to Thai Square in Covent Garden with 3 friends on Saturday night looking forward to a enjoyable meal. When we arrived we were made to wait for our table for 10-15 minutes before being seated. The menu was extremely limited and we ordered a mixed starter for a min of 2 people which was tiny for the price of £12.95. When we asked for a few more options to be added to make it acceptable for 3 people we were then charged an extra £6.50 for the priveledge. After we went on to order mains from the standard menu and when they arrived one was wrong, and the other two were extremely tasteless compared to the usual flavoursome dishes served in Thai restaurants. To accompany our dishes we ordered sticky rice and noodles, although when they arrived they were beyond 'sticky' almost glued together making them impossible to share.
Finally the bill arrived after a long wait as the service was unpredictable between courses and a standard 12.5% surcharge was added even for the 3 of us?!
Overall the food and service was extremely disappointing and overpriced, I would have no inclination to return to this restaurant again.

My friend booked a table here for 6 of us on New Years Eve. I eat out a lot however Thai isn't my number one choice but I gave it ago!
We got there 10 minutes later then we had booked the table for, although it seems we could have been even later because our table wasn't even ready. When we got to the table, it was nice. The decor was clean, somewhat pretentious but that’s what I have learnt to expect in London!
Before even getting to sit down waitresses seemed to run over to put the napkins on our laps, while this may be a nice gesture, for me it was rather imposing especially as I hadn’t even taken off my jacket.
My Partner and I opted for the Silver Set Menu, with our friends joining us. I think it cost around £20 for 3 courses, which was relatively well priced. Our order was taken fairly quickly with our starters coming out within 15 minutes. Which was brilliant as we were all famished.
Then the problems started. Our main dishes took more then an hour to come out AFTER our starter and on top of that the food came out really cold. We then had to wait for a further 20 minutes for others dishes to come out. Which we had to remind the staff 4 times before they brought it out. The rice tasted old and my beef was around or below room temperature, which was a really annoying. When talking to the waitress about why the food was bought out cold she barely understood us. We were then given/transferred to another waitress who after a lot of talk came out with “the food couldn’t be that bad as we’d started eating it!” For me that was really rude, I really expected more from this or any restaurant. After a lot of talking then her going to the manager, I asked to be transferred to the manager who was pretty useless. With all she could say was that she’d put the food in the microwave, which if I was at home I’d do but there was no way I’d accept that service being in a restaurant where I’d be paying over £35 for a meal!
We were given 30 percent off the bill along with a round of free drinks, which sounds good but the manager had the cheek to water down our wine. Which really drove me mad but I wasn’t to say anything because at this point I had just had enough. If I wasn’t with such good friends, New Years eve would have been a complete disaster because of this restaurant and management!
I will never return to this restaurant; the food was nothing special, the service was appalling and the price abysmal.
