We order quite a bit of food locally and were very disappointed with this restaurant's delivery service! We had read reviews of this restaurant and were very encouraged but found that the service and the quantity of food to be a real disappointment. We waited over an hour and twenty minutes for our delivery only to receive lukewarm food along with cold rice and then were hugely astonished at the actual amount of food provided! We ordered a tandoori mixed grill and a seafood mixed grill and two orders of boiled rice for a total of approximately 29 pounds. The seafood grill was composed of only two king prawns and three very small pieces of lukewarm salmon. The mixed grill was a chicken leg and a few pieces of grilled meat. We never complain about anything but we actually did call this restaurant twice- firstly to complain about the wait only to be told that we'd be called back and weren't, and secondly to express shock at the cold food and the actual amount we received. The second time we called we were told that the owner had been contacted but was busy at the moment but would eventually call us back as he was" very upset at our complaints". We eventually suggested that he not call us back but said that we will not be ordering from this restaurant again and would we would strongly suggest that if you are actually are hungry that you don't either.

We have been to Meghna on several ocassions since they opened up a couple of months ago and have to say that the food & service has been impeccable everytime regardless of how busy or quiet the place has been. The light 'indian' tapas at lunch is quite quaint, reasonably priced and very tasty - you can taste the fresh herbs and spices used. They served us a number of varieties, which were presented really nicely too. Lovely place - highly recommend if you like authentic indian food in pleasant & relaxed surrounding.

We chose Meghna for lunch today as a last resort, as Hampstead's dining options are pretty limited - with the bustling Cafe Rouge proving that money doesn't buy you taste! We were one of only two tables occupied and it was very, very quiet so I can't really comment on atmosphere (as there wasn't any). I would have liked to see the roof terrace, but unfortunately the rain put a stop to that.
Drinks arrived quickly, followed by wonderfully crisp poppadums and a selection of tasty chutneys and lime raita. We shared a vegetarian set lunch, which included rice, samosas, and a simple but tasty vegetable curry. Keen to sample the Indian tapas, we also ordered paneer tikka, chicken tikka, pakoras and aloo tikki. Everything was fresh, light and delicious - just what we needed after a morning of shopping.
I would certainly go back in the evening when it's a little busier to try out the full menu.

Fresh, delicious authentic Indian food, very reasonably priced. Menu extremely extensive - great choices (tandoori sizzler & garlic lamb dish very tasty). Highly recommend - beautiful decor & attentive service. Brilliant location and lovely roof terrace. Great place to impress the other half...very romantic!!

Oh for good old British weather - the day I go to do al fresco on the roof terrace it doesn't rain, it pours! The establishment allowed us to order "tapas" in the main restaurant which was much appreciated. I have to say that I had never had tapas before and was a bit dubious but I was really surprised. Good tasty finger friendly snacks at very reasonable prices. Do try the chicken wings and lamb patty kebabs (can't remember what they were called - sorry). Anyway - will be back - good weather or not.

Fabulously amazing food!! The chicken tikka masala was simply divine & the garlic naan was soft & delicous. The ambience was really relaxed and sophisticated - not your usual Indian local - but the prices were very low for such a great location & ambience. They had a stunning roof terrace with amazing views of Hampstead & beyond, serving Indian Tapas which is a great concept so will be back to give it a try. Excellent value for money & friendly service. Highly recommended.
