Slurp

Not sure what the other reviewers were talking about! My girlfriend and I often eat here and the food and service is excellent. We also frequently get food delivered and it is of the same high standard.

The food is always fresh and tasty. Not had a bad experience in quite a few visits and more deliveries than I can remember!

I'd recommend the Malaysian-style Ribs for a starter (although they can be quite filling) and the Red Duck Curry for a main. The Yasai Chilli Soba comes a close second for main courses.

We have been going to Slurp for years, and always enjoyed it, but our last couple of visits have been disappointing. Standards seem to have fallen. My dish of prawns was presented with the prawns encased in wodges of soggy batter and a disgusting 'chilli sauce' poured over everything (though neither the batter nor the sauce were mentioned in the description of the dish on the menu). The prices are still very reasonable, so that's not the issue.

Slurp used to be a reliable, friendly, inexpensive restaurant with freshly cooked food based on simple stir-fries. Let's hope it will find its way back to that again.
