I had a rubbish meal there recently. Everything was boot polish coloured and tasted about the same and with no beer served now you couldn't even drown your sorrows. Used to be great in the 1990s (I thought) but now tired and overlooked by its management.

I visited Khans on Tuesday 28-March-2006. The tables are very close together. It was like I was sitting at the same long table as my neighbors. The place is huge and very noisy. There is no carpet. The place has a high ceiling. And there was a party in the back that was cheering and clapping. With such an unpleasant ambience I fail to see why this place is popular.
I tell the fellow I'm wheat and dairy free. He said that the only dish that didn't have dairy was the chick peas. Not very vegan friendly! I left. I ended up at the nearby Standard Indian Restaurant and had a pleasant meal.

Simply awful, the worst restaurant I've ever been too. Dull atmosphere topped with the worst service I've ever experienced. The food is overpriced considering it's just standard Panjabi food.

April 2006. Khans was a restaurant we used to go to years agao and it was a favourite. As it was one place what we knew did authentic Indian food and not the separate curry sauce mixed with the meat and then server. We were, very disappointed on our last visit. Not only has the menu become more like the usual, high street, Indian restaurants, but the quality of food was so poor, that we won’t go back. The Briyani, was a a meat sauce mixed in with the rice, the chillie chicken was pieces of tandoori chicken that had been added to a red sauce and not even heated. Not authentic Indian food.

I think anyone complaining about this place has problems. It's inexpensive, tasty and very filling. For £30 two people can have an enjoyable and filling meal.
The food is quite authentic, there is a huge selection to choose from, the place is always busy and overall much better than 90% of the other Indian restaurants in London.
Don't come here expecting a fine dining experience by any means, but come here and have a great feed!

Am a bit surprised that there is so much bad feedback on this place!!!
The have the best tandoori chicken you can ever have!! As their chicken is done on charcoal grill and not on gas oven…
The service could be better, but they are always changing waiters.
It is a restaurant where the like go to eat.
Nice place overall.
