Kushi-Tei

This restaurant, tucked away in the unfashionable end of Wimbledon, is a real treat for lovers of Japanese food.

For a very reasonable price, it has authentic Japanese decor and great food. The restaurant specialises in grilled kushiyaki cuisine. This speciality sets it apart from many UK Japanese restaurants which try to cover the whole lexicon of Japanese cuisine, something one never finds in Japan.

South London is starved of genuine Japanese restaurants. Having fought through the jungle of faux Japanese restaurants out there, this is a welcome oasis, if you will excuse the mixed metaphor.
