A Touch of Novelli - The French Horn

We (five of us) visited on spec at nearly 14:00 on Thursday lunchtime. The welcome was warm, nothing was too much trouble for the highly competent staff and the food was simply excellent. We all chose from the Set Lunch Menu and between us managed all the choices, all of which were beautifully presented and extremely tasty. We ate in the restaurant but took the chance to look at the small pub bar and the very welcoming garden. All in all a real find.

I've just been to the French Horn for lunch and have to say that it was a very nice experience.
The service was effecient and friendly and we were very impressed with how any questions we had about the menu were answered without hesitation.
We went for the set price lunch which at £14.95 for two courses was great value. We both had the carpaccio of Swordfish to start which was perfect followed by the cod with mussel and squid risotto and the Spatchcock baby chicken. We washed this down with a lovely Albarino (my favourite).
We had read some mixed reviews of the French Horn but have to say we couldn't fault the place. We have booked again for next week.
