Centre Point Sushi Cafe

Having eaten here about three times (the most recent two were on consecutive days) I have come the conclusion that bento boxes are the (or just my) future of informal dining.
The Centre Point Sushi Cafe is not anything flash, in fact it's a blink and you'll miss type of place requiring diners to walk through an oriental mini-mart to get to a set of stairs leading to the entrance which does give the feeling that it is a "secret squirrel" establishment, although I'm sure it's not especially with a Evening Standard/Time Out review in the window.
Whilst the food isn't high-end, neither is the price. Of the three different bento boxes I've consumed, they've all left me feeling satisfied and with the box comprising of range of edible components I'm also rather chuffed with the value. Granted you can get this cuisine at a comparable price elsewhere (Toyko Diner is also worth a try), it is more the environment and location that has me hooked; above a shop is a pretty cool informal dining spot, coupled with booths (I love booths) and discrete frontage means you can fool your dining guests into making it look like you know all hidden gems.
What it lack in atmosphere through never really being busy and a clientele of people catching-up as opposed to partying, it makes up for with swift and efficient service meaning you don't need or want to stay all night and with an ideal "stepping stone" location (where every point of the compass can lead to a great night-spot), it is best used as a late night eatery before going home or a early evening dinner before going out.
