Have been to da Lillo's a couple of times now and it's fast becoming a real favourite. The food is consistently good and the staff always pleasant and welcoming. Their entertainment nights are really great nights out too.

This was undoubtedly the worst Italian food I have ever eaten.

The restaurant had undergone an expansion and renovation. The decor was fancier than before and the price of the dishes reflected that!!!

Food was bland, service disappointing and the prices high.

Let's start with the house wine. It came in the smallest, half-filled glass I've ever seen. Two or maybe three ounces at most. A couple of sips and it was gone, prompting the waiter to appear offering to sell me another nine-dollar refill. By the way, it was barely drinkable cheap Italian plonk

Bottom Line: STAY AWAY! I'll certainly never eat there again.

I could not enjoy the food because the music played was way too loud.

Went to this restaurant last Saturday (6th) early evening for the second time and yet again was not disappointed.

The staff are welcoming, brisk and capable. The food is excellent and the atmosphere very good.

To begin we had calimari which was delicious, the sauce scrumptious and the calimari tender and pefectly cooked, along with the garlic bread, which is simple yet substantial for starters.

For mains I had the linguine with king prawns and again this was perfect, the pasta just right for me (al dente); my partner had the penne with just tomato sauce which was the same. and we shared a salad. We had ice cream to finish and two coffees. Along with a beer and two cokes it all came to £38.

I sometimes find Italians over-priced for what you get, but I consider this very good value for what we'd had and we both left stuffed.

We went easy on the alcohol 'cos we were driving but the wine looks good value so next time (soon) I'll be on the bus!

The restaurant is almost over-looked where it is but I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who likes excellent food and good value in a friendly atmosphere.
