Aqua River Brasserie

I read the Aqua Brassiere reviews and thought I'd find out for myself. I decided to order olive and bread (with my wine) and a burger, easy huh? Well not easy for Aqua. The olives and bread came 1 minute before main course. Then, after moving from the terrace the the main restaurant (due to the weather), our food came out of the kitchen and went on a tour of the restaurant, confused looking staff showed it around each cavernous comer, and took it back to it's birthplace in the kitchen.
My burger came, it was cold, yet burnt. The chips were frozen and had been fried to the point of translucency. I sent it back, and didn't re-order as I'd already taken up most of my lunch hour. The Management did make me another burger to go. But to be honest, I told them not to, and it made me feel even more uncomfortable about complaining. I left the burger. Am I ungrateful or just a cynic??
My colleague's weren't that impressed with their limp salad and burnt fish, but both were hung over and would've eaten anything.
All in all. Nice venue, shame about the food and some of the staff. We'll maybe try it again in 6 months, and see if they've improved. I won't hold my breath!

Lovely to sit in peace by the river. I never pay the service charge so it is reasonable value for money.

I've been here twice now - lunch is great alfresco on a sunny day, apart from running out of rose! Dinner however inside lacks atomosphere/people and menu seems limited and plane. However makes a change from the Riverside next door.
