Truly dreadful, starter greasy, tasteless and unimaginative! Main course inedible, pork loin with a dreadful twang - only the brave would have eaten. Chicken burger, dry - chips, thick and undercooked. Service was good albeit rather too quick and still charged for starter from 2 course menu (starter loads left, main not touched)! Awful, don't waste your money!

New chef this year which is making a difference. We had an excellent meal - with duck, lamb, venison and fish pie. All were good quality ingredients and well presented. We will return. Service fine.

Only adverse comment - a bit uninviting from the street.
