A really bad restaurant. I went to this restaurant the other day with a friend and had a horrible experience. The service was incredibly slow- we had to wait for more than 40 minutes for our food to arrive. In addition the food was by no means bad but it was not really tasty either. More to the point it was incredibly overpriced. The portions delivered were incredibly small. I paid over £10 for my food and received minimal portions- which I ate under 4 minutes. The people who worked at the restaurant were quite rude- hardly any of them knew how to smile.

I went in to have a meal. I ordered the potato wedges for starters, the chicken burger and fries as the main. The potato wedges were hard. The lettuce of the salad in the burger wasn't fresh, it looked a bit brownish and stale. The chicken wasn't fully cooked and it was a bit pink. I didn't fully finish the meal and I had to pay for it. I was quite disappointed. So for my meal at Chiquitos, I would give it 3/10

One of the worst restaurant I have been to. 5 waiters on a friday night. Takes more than 15 minutes to order a drink and up to half an hour to get your bill. The manager is not at all bothered of doing any work. Waved at him twice and he was least bothered to come to the table. Worst ever restaurant

My partner and I ordered the chilli beef burittos. The small buritto was dried out and had that texture that could only be created from something that came straight from the freezer into an oven or microwave. I cut through the layers of hard, dessicated tortilla to some factory produced filling.
Refried beans arrived in a tiny paper pot, approx 1 small spoonful, also dried out and the texture of clay. Guacamole - from a jar or deep freeze, clearly not freshly made. Rice was OK.
By this point we didn't want to complain, just wanted to leave and never return.

Good food but way too pricey. A burger with chips for £8, Fajitas for £8. C'mon this place has the potential of being one of the best Mexican restaurants but is let down by the prices.

Each time i go to this restaurant i feel as though i should eat something beforehand as i know that we will be kept waiting a long time before we place our order.
The service in this particular resturant is very slow. Ideally you should know the menu by heart so when the they sit you down at a table you can place your order before they disappear. This way at least you know that your food will be on its way at some point even though it takes ages for the food to arrive as well.
I get this same service all the time and then to my dismay the food is not up to standards its cold and bland and has no Mexican character.
I really do feel as though they need a re vamped menu with more flavour and more staff who are there to address your needs as a customer. (Sometimes i feel like going into the kitchen myself)
I have since then stopped going to Chiquito as the lack of service and blandness of food is not a good combination.
