My sweetie and I went to Chez Georges last Thursday for dinner. It was the best meal I have ever had and I eat out fairly often. The service was attentive not too intrusive and very friendly. Great value for money, we used the 3 courses for 29.50 deal. There was a bit of a wait between starter and main course but the food was cooked with such attention to detail one could understand why.
The food, the food the food. It was soooooo good. My sweetie and i were sampling each others dishes not just cause we're so comfortable with each other but because it was just that good. We both complimented the chef on the way out becuase the food was sooooo good. We will definitely return.

Had lunch here on Saturday. The fixed price lunch menu offers top quality restaurant food at less than pub prices. My fish soup and duck confit were close to perfection and at only £9.50 for both, amazing value! Very friendy and very authentic.

Several years have passed since opening our music shop in Camden Town...and with that we've seen many restaurants open and close...some deserved to close and the others were just unfortunate with their timing or location not their food or service.
I've been to this wonderful place about ten times now and is without a doubt the best addition to Camden Town in a long time. The restaurant doesn't look great from street level but once you're downstairs it's an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the High St. The lighting is soft, the music just right and the tables are well dressed.
The French fish soup served with croutons and aioli was great. The steak is always amazing as is the dover sole. The wine list is fantastic with some bottles being sold at low prices given their vintage.Incredible really...I could go on about the other dishes(I think I've tried most of them...)but I can't fault any of his dishes.
They offer three courses for 29.50 which is excellent value...and yes this is from their full menu..which includes a drink and a bottle of wine...and if you're not happy with the house wine...order another bottle and just deduct the price(15.95) from whichever bottle you choose. It's such a great deal
This place deserves to survive as the food is great...it's independent...and it's just what Camden needs!

Chez Georges - French restaurant is a new addition to Camden’s streets, quite hidden away on Delancey Street and it could easily be mistaken for a kebab shops but despite the entrance, it is downstairs where all the dining and entertaining takes place. It has a real snug and homely atmosphere. This is definitely reflective in the menu which indulges in all of your autumn and winter cravings. For a 2-course lunch, you can sample any dishes for just £9.50. For dinner, a 3-course meal, plus a welcome drink and a bottler of wine for 2 for only £29.50 is an unmissable treat. Chez Georges is a small business with a personality, and it could just become your special new local – votre favori!
Please try!!!

This restaurant is great, small but very friendly atmosphere. Great for money. I had scallops ravioli as starters, followed by perfectly cooked duck, then delicious chocolate mouse.. Great choices of wines.
Everyone should try.

Be patient and things will always happen. We now have our french restaurant in camden town and my girlfriend and I wanted to try it out and we were not disappointed at all. This is just the perfect place to go and have a very good french dinner just next to the old delancey cafe.
I had snails as a starter, followed by a perfectly cooked rack of lamb while my girl decided to go for fricasse de champignon and a very good beef bourguignon I can say we were both more than happy. The staff is very friendly and the chef look very professional. The food is so excellent that we decide to go back.
