Khun Mae Thai

Visited Khun Mae Tae tonight after reading some of the reviews posted on this particular website. This was first time that both I and my companion had visited this restaurant. We both chose starters from the wide and varied menu, which offered both choice and value for money.

The service was indeed impeccable and the presentation superb. My companion chose the chicken satay, which can only be described as adequate. I opted for the fish cakes, which were some what disappointing.

We eagerly anticipated the arrival of our main course and hoped that this would redeem the restaurant. We both chose chicken dishes. On the whole, I found the food to be fairly average and could not complete my meal. My companion, on the other hand fared slightly better and was happy with her choice

I live around the corner from this spot, and regularly get takeaways. I occasionally sit in as well. The service is absolutely impeccable, and the food is always fantastic. As a non-meat eater, I find no shortage of choice, and have yet to be disappointed with a dish.

It's surprising that the restaurant often seems rather quiet, perhaps it's simply the location. But visitors shouldn't be put off by the lack of other patrons, as the food and service makes Khun Mae a reliably great spot for a tasty meal.
