The worst customer service ever and very unprofessional staff.
The Christmas menu for 3 courses at £32.95 says that all main are served with goose fat roasted potatoes, honey roasted carrots and parsnips to share, none of which we received. Indeed, when asking about this on the day we were told that we were wrong and that it was just what was served on our plates. The food was bland and uninteresting.
To make things even more frustrating, we were charged £140 more than we should have been which was only discovered after we have paid the bill and by chance one of our team member realised that the deposit we had previously paid, had not been taken off the final amount.
When we raised the issue with the staff , we were told the manager would come over. It took them a good 30-40 minutes to get the issue sorted out. Some of our party had already left the premises.
On discovering the error, the manager was not particularly apologetic, blaming it on new staff, a computer system and then told us that we would have got it back some time the following week when they discovered the error anyway - as if this was all perfectly acceptable.
We then sent an e-mail to the sales coordinator to raise our disappointment with their service. Once again, we were treated with disregard. There's not even a small attempt to show some empathy or attempt to repairing their mistakes.
The only apology that we got from the sales rep was and I quote "apologies that your evening did not meet the high expectations set up last year". As if being charged the right amount and getting the food you ordered has anything to do with having high expectations. Unbelievable!
Overall, their staff were quite unhelpful and highly unprofessional.
I guess ensuring some level of customer satisfaction itís definitely not their priority. What a shame!
