We ate here last Saturday while on a trip to London. It is a rip off!!! This is just a small italian restaurant, at home we would generally pay a lot less. My friend had the soup (£4.75) and I the bruchette (£3.75), very small portions. The waitess asked if she would like bread with her soup???? In any other restaurant (well maybe not in London, I dont know but up here yes) you would get it automatically, especially at the price of £4.75!!! Then we both had risotto (priced at £11.95 + £12.95), we just thought all London restaurants were this expensive. I can make better risotto myself, not a lot of taste! if in Edinburgh try the smoked haddock risotto at the Kings Wark, £7.95, it is to die for!!! Anyway the bill came and they charged £1.20 for the roll and butter which I think is scandalous, then 12.5 % service charge, without this being printed on the menu!!! I know now that we should not have paid it, but I am going to tell as many people as possible about this restaurant, as they do not APPRECIATE your custom. Come to Scotland all you Londeners and your money goes a long way!!!
On another note we ate at Marco Pierre White's Wheelers of St James the night before and it was lovely, bread and butter on the table WHICH WE DID NOT ASK FOR AND IT WAS FREE!!!
