While the food here is good and it is certainly worth a visit with some interesting choices, I think some of the reviews overplay it. I was expecting more after reading reviews here. Also don't bother with the cocktails, they are very poor.

This is a great local restaurant which is worth making an effort to find if you are not local. Don't come here for snappy service and big city glamour, come for beautifully cooked fish & seafood. The combination of French and Indian influences makes Mauritian cooking quite unique and the fish shop next door makes for an unusually wide choice of really fresh ingredients. To be honest, don't bother with the desserts which are fine but nothing special....spend the money you save on some fresh lobster and a decent bottle of chablis instead, much better value.
