Kazbar (Clapham)

I booked the private room (boudien tent) at the back of the restaurant for a friends birthday just a couple of weeks ago. There were approx. 15 of us. The room was beautifully set up with traditional Moroccan décor and candles and had a fantastic atmosphere. The staff were very attentive, always smiling and made sure our glasses were never empty. Although we were in a private room and they had the rest of the restaurant to take care of, we were checked on continuously.

We shared a selection of starters, which everyone was very impressed with - very fresh and tasty. The main coursers were equally as good - the meat and fish being cooked to perfection. I was very impressed with the wine also, which was very reasonably priced.

They happily brought out a birthday cake I had purchased and didn't ask for any extra money to serve it which I was very happy with as have found a lot of restaurants have a price per head for serving cake.

I give this restaurant 10 out of 10 - every aspect of it was perfect and made for a great night at a very reasonable price.

The booking was made for 10 people with ease. When we arrived the smell of moroccan cuisine almost pushed us back out onto the high street. The music was soothing and the decor certainly set the scene. An absolute must visit.
