Le Bijou d’Ange

Le Bijou d’Ange is a great find! It's a welcoming little restaurant with an extensive, appealing menu - including a few vegetarian options, unusually for a French restaurant.

My husband's breaded mushroom starter was reasonable, although I felt that I had made the better choice, with some fantastic mussels. They were large, juicy and plentiful - and dressed simply yet perfectly.

My veal main course was tender but very rich - typically French. The accompanying cream sauce also enriched my husband's main course, a vegetable and goat's cheese tart.

The service was warm and attentive, the ambience was good (once other diners arrived) - I'd certainly return.
