We've discovered this place a few years ago. And we're back every now and then. We always end up happy at this place. Good wine, good food, good price. I couldn't ask for more - well, maybe changing the dinner menu a bit more often so we can come back more frequently.

Having been a regular at the Passage Cafe for a couple of years I was very surprised that someone could have such an bad experience as the last reviewer.
My wife land I love this place. We have brought friends along a number of times and they were all very impressed by the level of service and the qualitty of the food you get at the Passage Cafe.
We have always been very welcome by the host and the chef never fell to show up in the restaurant making sure that everyone is happy.
I cannot think of any other restaurant in London where you such good value for money.
Judge it for yourself and go and visit this little gem and you won't be disapointed. Vive The Passage Cafe

The place is tiny. The service is of the "I couldn't care less what you order and can't be bothered to explain anything" variety .The wait between courses very long, which was surprising since there were only 6 people in the restaurant including us at lunch.
The quality of the food was mediocre at best. A "tarte" of camembert, apple, glazed with honey ,which could not be described by the waitress, was a disc of puff-pastry on which a small slice of camembert (store variety) had been placed, topped with 2 slices of apple-then heated in an oven and drizzled with honey.Yes,it was as awful as it looked and sounds.
The confit of duck leg was incredibly dry, having been over cooked in the oven, and accompanied by raw/uncooked potatoes. How could the potatoes be raw and the duck overcooked?Anyway, left most of it.Could not face prospect of dessert,so left.
It was cheap at £44 for 2,but we got what we paid for ,I suppose. Not a place to revisit. And certainly not authentically french-with the possible exception of the poor service which seems to be affecting a certain type of establishment on the other side of the Tunnel.
