We had a disappointing lunch at Brasserie Gerard, Pinner, today. We ordered the Croque Madame, and when we found the sandwich rather difficult to cut, let alone eat, we found the cook had used CRUSTS, and not proper slices of bread! They obviously thought that with the covering of cheese and egg we would not notice.

I cannot fault the food in this restaurant, my 2 friends and I were having a lovely evening, but be aware when they come up with the cheap bright green and blue schnapps these are not complimentary I was going to finish with a cointreau but because without any asking by us the waiter arrived with these. When we got the bill they were £3.50 each I would have gladly paid £4.50 for a decent liquor. The waiter was made aware of our disappointment and like mugs we still left 10%. Two weeks before in a Mexican in Soho complimentary shots were happily excepted.

My wife and i visited Brasserie Gerard for our first time last night, we both thoroughly enjoyed our choice in meals although i think the grass was greener on my wifes side of the table. We would certainly consider using this restaurant again. The service was great, the atmosphere (eventually) great and offered value for money.

I have loved going to the Brasserie for breakfasts pretty frequently. I have been taking clients, friends and family.
The unique selling point for me was that you gave a free second cup of coffee. A Really Good Thing. We all loved that.
To my horror about a month ago you stopped doing your free second drink. What a shame. You stood out from everyone else, So now, with enormous regret you don't stand out for me anymore and we now go somewhere else. I loved, in particular Sunday breakfasts - taking a paper, perusing and enjoying the location, food and drink.
Removing a unique selling point is a backwards step and is noticable when its done. Maybe to you a small thing but crikey has it been noticed. My clients, friends and family have noticed and are not impressed.
Shame.
