Brasserie Gerard (Sevenoaks)

I've visited this attractive restaurant twice and both visits confirm that it's a worthy representative of the Chez Gerard "theme". The menu contains some reliable old favourites and they are executed well. Service is friendly, and prompt without any feeling that you're being rushed through, and the food is presented piping hot. This is a prime requirement where we are concerned and it's amazing how often restaurants fall short in this respect.

Brasserie Gerard won't set your pulse racing with excitement but it does simple things well, which is about all I ask from an "everyday" eating out experience. If this sounds like damning with faint praise then I'm creating the wrong impression. I like this place a lot.
