Very good food on a budget. I had the Nasi campur (rice with 3 choices of dish all in one plate) for £4.50. Friendly service and warmth atmosphere just like being in one of the eating stalls in malaysia. If ever I'm in the area I will definitely come here again!

This is actually an authentic family home cooking restaurant, just as my in-laws do. It's good quality food for a low budget. These kind of eating zones are very hard to find anywhere in Europe. Really like it a lot.

This is the long lost cousin of the old (since closed) Malaysian Students' Hall canteen in Bryanston Square. The food is cheap and the curries OK for a quick meal . Their Curry Brinjal was nice. I wish I could praise their Nasi Lemak (coconut milk flavoured rice with chicken curry, ikan bilis (fried anchovies), sambal chilli and roasted peanuts, but lets just say they were of an acceptable standard. I probably could make a better teh tarik (aerated ceylon tea) with the powder they sell in the London oriental supermarkets. Their Malaysian delicacies (kueh) were just malaysian cakes and the word delicacies would require a quantum jump in definition to qualify. It is self service with a smile from the guy dispensing the curry.

Cheap nice quick meal probably sums it up.

Actually the food here is not bad at all... Sometimes it is a bit cold when you have meal in the afternoon. Self service, no complaint as no service charge.... Staff working there are quite friendly and good, they work like family, it's really quite warm to see that too!!

Monday, November 24, 2008 - Historically this canteen was established for the Malay students who study in London, and their homesickness was soon remedied by the availability of the near home-cooked fayre; as well as the added bonus of cheap prices that are subsidised by the Malaysian government… I come here primarily for the Nasi campur or mixed rice. With your plain white rice and token boiled cabbage, you then proceed to choose up to three accompaniments to go with it. The staggering choices include beef rendang, fish or chicken curry, fried fish, tofu, cuttlefis, eggs, etc.
