Azzi Korean & Japanese Fusion Restaurant

It was our third visit to this restaurant, in the last 4 months.
The service seems to deteriorate, on every visit. The food remains reasonable, but this week we came across a change of Menu. The owner came to our table with the best intentions, talking in broken English, but it resulted in our food been eaten almost cold! Bad practice, to say the least. Another point of concern: The waitress came to clean the table next to us, spraying from a bottle, creating a cloud of mist over us! Improvements are required, and fast !

We left this restaurant this evening. It was a major disappointment. The premises have no heating in operation, and it was cold. There were huge gaps between drinks, starters and the main course. The waitresses were moving so slow, as if they were been lead to the gallows. This restaurant was functioning quite well, on our first visit 3 months ago. Unfortunately, the service deteriorated to an unacceptable level, and we will not be returning.

We visited this Korean/Japanese restaurant, having done a bit of research on the Internet, the comments herewith included.
It was a disappointment to say the least. Everything went wrong right from the start. The waitress that took the booking could hardly understand English.
On arrival, the main restaurant was empty and very cold.
We begun with a shot of Vodka, just to warm up, but when we asked for the second round, they said that they ran out of Vodka!
The starters, (dumplings) were tasty. The main course, sea food bibimbab was disappointing! There were grains of rice, not cooked properly, and most of the rice, had to be scraped from the bottom of the hot pot.
We found that this restaurant is badly managed, and the food leaves a lot to be desired.

This Restaurant was visited by me and my wife last night.(Tuesday, the 14th of instant).
We begun with dumplins for starters. Six pieces each to be precise, enough to almost fill you up!!
The main course of BBQ was even more generous and delicious!
The house wine served was of good quality.
In general, the taste and portions were excellent.
This restaurant has to be visited, is well worth a try.

We had a party of 27 people at the Azzi Korean & Japanese restaurant on Saturday, the 11th of October. The food was selected for us by the waitress at the pre-agreed price of £30 per head. It was our first visit to a Korean restaurant. We were all highly impressed with the service and tasty food. we also had use of the Karaoke for 2 hours, free of charge! This restaurant is highly recommended by all 27 of us!

The inclusion of the word fusion that appears on the full name of this restaurant or any other for that matter is enough to deter me from making an appearance. Fusion of different cuisines can only lead to a kankedort. Erm…maybe for except Peter Gordon, Nobu Matsuhisa or perhaps Ian Beale from EastEnders.
The impossibly long queues (think Disneyland or the Nemesis ride at Alton Towers) at Cha Cha Moon and Bodean’s were responsible for my well-fated destiny with Azzi. I’m also well aware that this place is only around the corner from my distraught experience at Ran.
The ambience is bright, airy but most definitely not Japanese, so it must be contemporary Korean. Service was efficient but little English spoken, however the delightful Eastern European waitress assisted no end and avoided any ‘lost in translation’ moments with her employers and yours truly. I came here for lunch, so on this account alone I’ll only suggest you go straight to the special lunch set menu where everything seems to be under a tenner. The lunch deal to go with your choice of mains includes an amuse bouche of some sort (seaweed omelette on my visit), bowl of dressed salad, impressive display of kimchee, pickled daikon, beansprouts, spinach, more shredded radish and miso soup (bring your vegan friends!). That, folks, is a meal unto itself. My chosen mains of Dolsot Bibimbab (Rice in Hot Stone Pot) was beyond the realms in presentation and taste. My dining companion’s So Bulggoggi (Marinated Beef) was pronounced ‘it’s alright in all, I’m comin’ back for more’. A token slice of fruit is served to complete the meal. £8.50 for the my companion’s set and 8 quid for mine, together with no cover and service charge this place is worth a patronage; ridiculously good value, ginormous portions and good tasting to boot.
As for the fusion thing, there’s no evidence on the menu, although sushi and pork katsu is featured, I think this place is purely and wholly Korean. I like, I like it so very much.

This restaurant, is just a short walk from Oxford Street, situated half way down Poland Street.
We had lunch there today! Quite impressive. The food was very tasty. It was our first time in a Korean restaurant. No doubt we will be back to familiarise ourselves further with the Korean cuisine!

We visited AZZI last night. A table for four was booked in the early afternoon, and on arrival later in the evening, we were warmly welcome, indeed we felt we were known for years!
The atmosphere was excellent! We enjoyed the roasted beef, and sea food pancake. The karaoke was ours for the best part of 2 hours, and the song collection ran into several thousand songs!
Excellent, we will be back soon no doubt.

We visited AZZI Korean and Japanese Restaurant, on Sunday the 21st of September. It was a birthday party for 15 people.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the service excellent. The premises could not be faulted. New tables and chairs, the walls newly decorated.
I asked to visit the KITCHEN, on arrival. I was highly impressed!! Everything spotless and the stainless steel works gleaming!
We had a great time, and I highly recommend this Restaurant.
