Konkan

Went with partner and son, ate starter of popadoms and pickles, then a chicken tikka. Mains were aubergine veg dish, chicken curry, prawn pilau with 1 x Nan and 1 x Paratha bread and a small rice. Three drinks, two deserts a coffee and cognac, total bill was 55.52 including a 6.17 service charge @ 12.5%.

The food was excellent, the service was ok given the obviously inexperienced waitier, but he was polite and attentive.

We were the only customers in there and the Chinese take away next door was much busier, but I know where we'd eat if we stay in West Drayton again...the Konkan.

Superb food,lovely ambience and with the deals they have going it can be very cheap as well.Went for a late lunch ,had some Goan specialities which were a pleasant and tasty reminder of my ancestry.The portions are also fairly large resulting in us having to cart most of it home.

About 5 mins walk from West Drayton station so quite accessible and defintely worth the visit.

Its a home far away from home where you can taste the authentic goan taste in the dishes. best place to eat n lovely atmosphere where lorna singing konkani songs is played. Every bite reminded me of home. cheers to the team. will be back again.

have been here twice food has been excellent,but this time did not like the manager trying to over charge the group by £25.50 as there was only 3 of us this noticed, this will be the last time we use this place and that this time tried to give us a receipt on pad paper and was surprised when not paying cash and without even checking the bill he was willing to give the money back,no one does this unless they know they have tried to con you.As a head chef i suggest if dinning here check your bill well before leaving as i get the impression this was not the first time for over charging.

After you have been once you have to go again. The food is excellent.

If you appreciate authentic indian cooking then this is a must, it is not your typical curry house, but high quality Goan indian food at an affordable price.
