Cammasan has the best Salt and Pepper squid in the world! Seriously, we've tried to better it in Hong Kong, Australia and the US, and have been hard-pressed to even equal it. My husband has to have a squid fix (even if it's a snack) at least once a week. Their menu is extensive, the food great, and the value outstanding. The friendly staff add to a relaxed atmosphere in the noodle bar. Sure, the noodle bar is not the place for a serious dinner but it is great for a casual dinner before a film or after a hard day of shopping. Highly recommended.

Sorry, I can't understand why this place gets such good reviews... I never write reviews or complain, but I’m going to do so this time. We went to the downstairs bar for lunch and the food was well below overage – greasy, very salty with sauces out of the bottle. In addition to that, we were overcharged - £28 for a small sharing platter and 2 small glasses of wine. I saw what other people were having and the portions were huge, but not appetising. Service wasn’t great either – our waitress started chatting to another customer while taking our order. There were quite a few Chinese people eating there and they all seem to know the staff which is great, but I don’t find it very professional when your waitress turns her back on you while chatting to regulars. Wagamama and SATORI Sushi definitely get my vote - better quality food and surprisingly cheaper. We shall never return to Cammasan .

I have been to this restaurant twice (downstairs) and both times the staff was very friendly and courteous. They even offered to customise certain dishes according to request.

Their prawns on toast and noodle soup are recommended.

Price is also quite competitive compared to most chinese places.

Am going there again tonight!

I couldn't disagree more with the comments of the other reviewers. I recently went for dinner at the Cammasan (in the upstairs chinese restaurant) and would describe it as "average" at best. The service was slow (we were practically ignored by the serving staff for 30 minutes at one point), badly organised (we had ordered crispy duck which in the end was served after we had had our main courses as a desert) and the food was unspectacular in taste, volume and presentation. The food like the restaurant was also pretty cold. We may have been there on an off-night, however, we definitely won't be going there again.
