Strada (Guildford)

Me and my boyfriend went to strada after recieving a 50% voucher this week. The place was buzzing, full of people. The service was great, our waiter really knew the menu and recommended our food, and wine to accompany the meal which was spot on. Even with the vouchers (that clearly increases the amount of people in the restaurant, without allowing for extra staff) the team did extremely well and they looked after us like it was their own dinner party. Food was great, we don't mind a wait as we know its freshly cooked. I would recommend Strada to anyone and will be returning very soon with or with out a voucher 10 / 10

We had a great time last weekend and even better that we used up our Tesco reward vouchers, nice touch - the only drawback would be the 2 flights of stairs to use the toilets, although my six year old was delighted with the chef's hat he was given on the way back down. Thanks, we'll see you again

My partner and I dined here with our Tesco clubcard vouchers so we only paid for our drinks. If I had paid for the food I would have been very disappointed and felt ripped off.

The food was just decidedly average. My bruschetta started tasted nice but the bread was very soggy - not at all what good bruschetta should be like. For the main I had a mixed seafood stew - again it tasted fine but it was pretty much all sauce and no fish (again I was glad I was using vouchers instead of paying £15 for this dish alone).

The service was also very slow and inattentive. I wouldn't go back - not even to use the clubcard vouchers!

Guildford has 2 far superior Italian restaurants (Olivio and Olivetto) which offer incredible food and great service in lovely surroundings. That's where I'll be heading next time!
