Strada (London Bridge)

Took 24 work colleagues here, very last minute arrangements (only booked it 2 days before). I went for the view, which was fantastic... from HMS Belfast, Tower of London and Tower Bridge it was fantastic, and extremely well received by my out-of-town colleagues.

I expected the food to be distinctly average, but it was somewhat above that. Especially the pizza I had, and the desserts were extremely well received by all.

I think that the greatest credit though belongs to their staff. In spite of having a full night (all night every table was full - we there 3.5 hours!), they were extremely accomodating of our group (not least because I had 8 more people attend than I had expected, or booked for). The orders were smoothly delivered all at once, and directly to the person who ordered them. After paying the bill, they bought everyone a complimentary Limoncello on the house.

All my guests told me they had had a lovely evening. Thank you Strada London Bridge!

We had a lovely meal at this restaurant, the location particularly made it very special. We were lucky enough to get a window seat, which with the restaurant right on the river, meant a fantastic view. A lit up Tower Bridge made a fantastic backdrop.

The food was good and the speed of service was very fast. In fact, if there was to be any complaint in that respect, it was that it was almost too fast, with our mains being brought out only a minute after our starters! Having said that, we felt well looked after and had no trouble in getting the attention of staff.

I would thouroughly recommend this restaurant, particularly for the great location, but would also recommend booking beforehand, as it seemed fairly busy even on a Wednesday evening.

I have been to many branches of Strada, and they have all been very good, but I cannot recommend this one - poor service and lousy food. We could never get the attention of any waiter, we waited for everything for ages, and the staff were unfriendly. The food was poor, the pasta tasted worse than what you get in a bag at Sainsbury's - and they forgot half the ingredients in the (rather boring) Cesar salad. I think the staff is out of their depths with this large branch (the other branches I've been to are all much smaller, with better food and better service).
